Bringing Job Quests BACK - Job Halls and Relics #SUGGESTIONS

Yes, you read right. Steal this from WoW, but improve upon it.
Axe the next Island Sanctuary'ish content to make space for it if dev time is an issue or lack of devs.

Job Halls/HQ - Job Quests - Class Relic Weapon quest chain - Job Mounts

- Job fitting headquarters that are open to visit and hangout with fellow warriors/blm etc.
- Job quests that follow their own story and the world situation
- A relic weapon quest chain that sends you to the open world
- Job mounts, glams, housing items, pets etc

Examples:

Aside from dealing with inner relationships between these "guild members"

- Dragoon headquarters in Ishgard, training new dragoons for a new age, dealing with veterans being trained to kill dragons their whole life into working together with the dragons like the dragoons of old - > dragonriding mount

- White mage, headquarters in Gridania, having to deal with the Elementals and Gridanian balance with nature, opening up the deal with the Gelmorran Duskwights for further depth.

- Bard, a tavern somewhere, setting out to recover lost songs, and regaling people with tales of heroes of eld, and the current timeline like Haurchefant etc.

- Dancer, Thavnair, being apart of a performance troupe, inspiring people with varied dance related rhythm quest types / combat.

- Gunbreaker, Bozja. Rebuilding Bozja and the remnants of the royal guardians, bodyguard escort quests/plotlines, digging Bozja for relics, training new gunbreakers and learning of their history

- Monk, rebuilding the monk order into its former glory, training new monks and teaching them to avoid the past mistakes of the order. Retaking up their old mantle as peacekeepers

- Warrior, volcanic Roegadyn homeland HQ / La Noscea, a quest for more control and strenght, visiting warried warrior cultures in the world, dueling, feats of strength miniquests with varied mechanics

- Ninja, Doma HQ, hunting down war criminals, scouting new threats, practising ninjutsu, rooting out any hidden threats within the new Doman government.

- Dark Knight, Ishgard / outside of Ishgard HQ, hunting down criminals the law can't reach within varied city states, very hush hush, very morally grey and so forth

- Black mage, Dun Scaith or some other floating city bit, researching magics of old

- Scholar, trying to resurrect the city state of Nym and the arts of the Scholars etc


So and and so forth. Don't get me wrong, the role quests are good and all, but I think this would give players more of a connection to the world, to make them feel apart of it, and would be a nice testing ground for different quest types, locations, stories and a good tube to reward players with job relevant rewards such as pets, mounts and relics.
Not to mention having a spot to hang out other than Limsa Lominsa.

Have items drop from specific hunt targets or fates, or tough "elite" type enemies, making people gather groups to dungeons, hunts or fates. Open world engagement, player to player engagement, good reward pipeline, lots to do between different jobs.

I like the role quests for the most part, but I do miss having the personal job quests
The problem is I don't know where we go from here, though I suppose we could be the one teaching new people to the order, so to speak
Or helping out with various problems they face

It'd be fun seeing those NPCs again

The world is very vast, theres always problems to solve, mysteries to discover. Self improvement, the storylines of following some other warriors growth, the moral dilemmas of another dark knight member.

yes pls we need more jobquests


my opinion is they should just give us jobquests for jobs they have ideas and inspiration at the moment. it doesnt really matter if not every job gets new quests at once because since we can play every job on the same character everybody still has access to any quest.

and also i like the idea of cross job quests... like a questline for white, red and blackmage together.
that last one is unlikely but i would love it

Trading Job Quests for Role Quests was one of the worst deals we've gotten in this game.

I want job quests as well, but have all forgotten how majority of them were boring?

There is a reason why the most remembered job quest are those of Dark Knight and Conjurer/White Mage, one is an emotional tale that ties back to the MSQ and the other is used as a meme for lazy healers.

Honestly its a pretty good idea to make a relic questline thats like job quests (though more grindy of course) would be a fun way to bring them back.
I really don't like role quests but with the amount of jobs in the game theyre kinda needed especially if more jobs are being added.

Perhaps you. For me, it was one of the best. I don't have time to level every single job to experience all the stories. I do have time to level one of each role. Switching to role quests allowed me to see all of the stories instead of missing out on most of them.

If they lock more class abilities behind job quests then I am going to cast self-destruct on myself. The worst part of leveling is the job quests - most of which are stale and mundane. It's always "talk to this guy then teleport over here and run the most boring solo duty you've ever played." There's a few gems in there like the drk or cul or alc or war quests, but a majority are snoozers and an absolute chore.

I did the ShB role quests because I loved the world and setting and wanted to experience more of it. I didn't touch the EW quests. And the DT quests are only getting done for xp purposes and not for their literary merit (none).

I'm for this too. It feels more like a chore to level up jobs when you have nothing but the last level to gain to look up to. I also feel like there are job specific stories to tell.

I would be happy to just have one quest at the max lvl by extension, as they did in ShB. This would allow some lore building when needed, like explaining Solar Bahamut... I can understand the whole there was too many jobs to get one quest series for each job, but having the 5 role quest line + the 21 fighting job getting one quest would still be one 3rd less less than the number of quests we had in SB.

Yeah, I think this should come with a sidedish of using this concept as a ground for different kind of job-flavored quest types and innovation.

Bard - Target practise, timing up nodes to produce the right note, jumping on some tiles in some ruins trying to find the right notes to unlock a door to a new song.

For example.

And if there's anything to gain, it should be specifically decorative or glam related. Mounts etc, hairstyles. Emotes. Could even give job related ability changes, like being able to change the look of your summons as a summoner.

Five new quests for every 10 levels with all of the jobs we now have would get tedious very quickly, so I understand why they dropped individual job quests every expansion. And let's be honest: We got some good stories, but we also got some REAL stinkers in there too.

But I do really miss a lot of the job NPCs. They were fun and I enjoyed their stories. I wish we could catch back up with them with a new optional side quest every expansion, like we did in Shadowbringers. Or that some of the characters found their way into the role quests. Some way to sprinkle the characters back into the world.

I don't know about bringing back full quest lines for each Job... Since that would be quite a lot of extra writing for 21 Jobs (and more if they add more Jobs), as opposed to the 5 Role Quest lines...

But I wouldn't mind them doing a quest at max level after finishing the MSQ where you go talk to Job quest relevant NPCs about the Expansion's events like they had in ShB.
