Arcadion Appreciation

I've let my opinions about the MSQ already be known in that particular thread, but I also feel that this must be pointed out - so far the Arcadion experience (as a non-savage player) has been fantastic.

From the setup of a wrestling tournament arc, to the entrance of the M4 boss, the fight, the music, the reveal-

I care more about those 3 sisters and the rest of the Arcadion fighters than literally anyone that was introduced over the MSQ. This isn't a world ending threat, it's an immoral mastermind in a position of power putting a few- what, dozen right now? People at danger for their own gain, and I am more determined to kick their teeth in than any other villain in this expansion.

This. This is how you write lower stakes stories. I'm so glad at least one of the writers is cooking. And massive props to the art team (music, cutscenes and visuals).

Seconded. The Arcadion has been the highlight for me in DT so far.

Love the Arcadion. Love the story, the whole WWE setup, the fights, the music, and I also am more than ready to go kick the behind of whoever is hurting my girls, and even for bee chick and bomber dude because they're victims of it, too.

I hope the quality continues for the rest of the raids because these are probably my favorite in the game so far

I love the announcer thing they have going on the fights. It's really cool to hear him say when everyone dodged an attack and such.

I also like that every fight had a different theme and music.

The entire expansion could have been around the Arcadion arc and I would have been satisfied. The only glimmer of promise in this entire expansion.

The Arcadion is awesome. A storyline thats engaging, fights that are fun, bosses that are memorable, and a soundtrack thats banging. I hope Square Enix keeps using that as inspiration going forward.

I think that if some more lighthearted story is what they want to go for, Arcadion has it. There are stakes in the background yet the bosses are fun and not out of place, despite how silly they look. And the intrigue got me curious.
Overall really dig the atmosphere.

It's so good. Literally the only thing I'm looking forward to at the moment is the second tier. Yaana's story is basically a slimmed down version of Wuk Lamat's and so far it succeeds where the MSQ failed in a fraction of a fraction of the time.

i like neither the wrestling setting nor solution nine overall. also there hasnt been a lot of story to those raidquests. and yet i do care more about black cat than pretty much any other character at the moment

I mean its a breath of fresh air compared to the MSQ, but I think its too soon for me to really sing any praises of it other than its themeing being pretty fun

well did reg m1-m4 still learning mechanics will get better with time not done savage yet still need to get ilv to 710 to meet requirements.

I really like that each fight has its own music. I liked Scream well enough, but it was getting on my nerves a bit after weeks of hearing it every raid night.

The Arcadion single-handedly redeemed the existence of solution 9 for me, they really knocked it out of the park with this one

Arcadion is the best raid tier we received so far.
They need to keep the standard, it will be TOUGH.

Playing Arcadion with my static is the only reason I haven't entirely quit the game. It is the single thread I am clinging to for dear life after how truly awful the DT MSQ experience was. I never want to see or hear any of those characters ever again.

But the Arcadion characters? I can tell immediately they're from other writers. They told a better, more compelling story with more world building and more fun, unique characters in the span of maybe an hour of cutscenes vs 30 hours of DT MSQ. And it's not like it's some immaculate masterpiece, it's just actually good and entertaining after hours and hours of identical do-nothing Scions and Wuk Lamat telling us about understanding and friendship. Who's to say how it will end, but it's the only thing I care about right now.

Also your character had more agency in those couple of hours than the 30 hours of DT MSQ. Probably an equal amount of meaningful dialogue choices, too.

The real hilarious thing is that it tells a much more understandable family-conflict story than the MSQ.

Make arcadian story the new patches msq. And ditch alexandria Or rifts or whatever

Arcadion is definitely one of the best parts, if not the best part of DT. Even with the whole savage tuning nonsense.

Nah, I'm actually interested in how Alexandria is going to move forward from all this.
