7.X MSQ -Speculation

Okay hear me out,because we know the 2nd umbral calamity was Lightning based, Sphenes reflection was already rejoined with the source so what we see in Heritage Found is a century or perhaps a millenia of Alexandrian advancement in it\\\\'s own pocket dimension fused with the land of y\\\\'yasulani.

With this in mind when we fight Sphene and the key reacts to us using the power of Azem I think we help activate interdemensional fusion but because we influenced it ,it was to the only reflection we are familiar with why else does Living Memory have a sky with weather of all seasons now ?

So I am thinking it appeared on the First somewhere and if it did there is now a two-way gate from the 1st to the source leading to a contintinent called a new world aka Tural coincidence.

(One more thing)
There was a lot of shadowbringer call backs for a reason I\\\\'m sure.

There's a lot that's not really clear about what's going to happen in 7.X, likely by design.

We don't actually know the full state of Sphene's reflection. All we know about it is that it still exists because otherwise Everkeep wouldn't have been around to do the interdimensional fusion with Yyasulani (and implicitly areas of other reflections in the past), and Living Memory wouldn't still be around.

X.1 - X.3 usually deals with political fallout from X.0, and while that's not quite such a huge deal (since Alexandria is all of one zone - Heritage Found - and ruled by boy-king Gulool Ja at the moment) it will need to be addressed in at least one patch. The rest will probably be working out how to use the key and the Skydeep Cenote gate to figure out how to travel across reflections without having to jump through the usual hoops laid out in the HyZo saga, with 7.4+ setting the stage for 8.0 taking place on another reflection.

Would make some sense in a way. I mean, it seems as if the 'portal' we used/use inside the Crystal Tower serves pretty much the same purpose as the gate.

Not necessarily. Counting unaspected aether, there are exactly 9 types of aether (Lightning, Fire, Earth, Ice, Water, Wind, Light, Darkness, Unaspected). Given there are 13 reflections (14 with the Source), it's possible, even likely, that the ascians were going to have to repeat Calamity types.

I really doubt Sphene's reflection is the one that rejoined the Source after the 2nd umbral calamity.

Given the Milalla are Lalafell from the Source that fled to the Unlost World in a desperate bid to escepe the Calamity of Ice (5th Umbral Calamity), and their arcanima was integral to the development of the electrope technology that fueled the Storm Surge, barring timey-wimey shenanigans it's all but certain that Sphene's reflection is not the Twelfth (the reflection rejoined to the Source in the Calamity of Lightning).

My simplest 7.x prediction is actually one that I'm surprised nobody's said in this thread yet. And yes, I know this thread's young, but it really is blatantly obvious to me. There's a lingering antagonist still in the wings, and I don't think Living Memory or Heritage Found are budging until we start looking at them.

We're gonna go up against Preservation. I don't know how, because Preservation's just one big question mark and all evidence kind of suggests they're all dead, but if there's anywhere in the game's world where 'they're all dead' isn't as much of a barrier as it maybe should be, it's Alexandria.

Firstly, enjoyed your Dawntrail review on YouTube - great stuff!

Anyway - I'm leaning toward the idea that the Storm Surge and probably whatever it was that was used to 'destroy' the Shard Alexandria was based in was facilitated by Preservation. They probably had several domes ('Solutions') set up, running their own experiments in preserving life, and Alexandria's was a soul-preservation related experiment. There could well be a Lindblum dome with a 'Solution 8' (for example) and a different preservation experiment that was sent elsewhere via interdimensional fusion. Unfortunately, with Preservation implied to be gone, there isn't anyone at the controls anymore which is how we ended up with the 'Queen Eternal' situation.

The Ascian influence will be interesting too - the Key reacting to Azem's crystal and the fact that Emet-Selch knew about "The fabled golden cities (plural) of the New World" are definitely incoming plot elements.

Dont forget, thats not a Zone, its actually just the top of the everkeep that stayed back in their shard, or rahter in whats left of it. All we know is they made their bubble and were save, either their world is there but close to a WoD state or its gone and their bubble is all thats left. The fact the time inside it being still faster like their own shard indicates it wasnt fused imo...

Thankyou, it was a lot of fun to make! (Not so much fun to basically speedrun editing the last couple videos of.)

I think you're generally picking out all the plot hooks of future Unlost World stuff they could pull that I can think of, and at that point I kind of feel like it's a question of sequencing and prioritization; yes, all of these things will come into play at some point, but there's a world of difference if 'Solution 8', for example, comes up in 7.1 or 7.5.

This idea of the origin of the name "Solution Nine" being that there were multiple "domes" and only one of them succeeded in transporting into a different dimension (the source) was my original idea of what it would be before Dawntrail came out. I thought it would've been incredible if that was what the reasoning behind the name.
Unfortunately, this was debunked. In Solution Nine there's an NPC that explains the origins of the name.

I'll fetch the exact quote once I have access to the game (I'm getting error 2002 :( ), but I remember it was called "Solution" because it has the solution for all of your problems, since it's somewhat of a market place/shopping mall area. And it's 9 because it's on the 9th floor of Everkeep. That's it. Solution 8 exists, it's on the floor below.

Emet mentioned in some dialogue about the roles of convication members and when I saw Pashtarot the preserver I see "Preservation"...thought?

Frankly, they haven't really set up a fun 7.1-7.3 patch cycle. We're clearly missing a villain and the loose ends Dawntrail has presented (other than the key) are not interesting either.

Gulool Ja probably needs a patch to have a mini adventure with the WOL to gain the confidence to lead Alexandria. Wuk Lamat said something about easing tensions between the two nations. Maybe Koana will want to use Alexandria's tech in Tural.

But these are not really interesting. Short of them diving into research about the key the msq is going to flounder.

Gone are the days of we have to save Estinien from Nidhogg, or the Warriors of Darkness are coming for us, or Elidibus is going to cause a rejoining now that Emet is dead, or an Ascian is parading around in Zenos' body...all of those plots were way more interesting.

We need to accept the fact that SE thinks we're a captive (paying) audience and will give use watered down story or we all need to speak up till something changes.
