Dunno about former glory, but it'd be nice if they were dusted a bit. Like, the second boss of Syrcus Tower has mechanics people never saw for the last 7 years. It would be real nice if bosses in there got a bit of a stats buff. And it would stop morons from trying to guarantee a CT proc in the roulette.

i mean people in the past asked to have crystal tower buffed a bit more and/or asked to fix the i lvl. im down for it
Yes! Rework the Crystal Tower raids. Replace Bone Dragon with a Twintania clone, and let her use twisters. Twisters, on an alliance raid scale. It will be funny.
so you need to revert back to 2 tanks/2 heals/4 dps party comp too and bring back mechs (towers and bombos on behemoth for example)

Everything ARR/HW just needs rebalancing to accommodate for the stats that didn't exist back then, and then in my opinion raids across the board need a more stringent Item Level sync. Perhaps something like +10 - +20 of the current gear awarded. e.g., 210 or 220 cap on Void Ark.
Something really needs to be done about older content, as it isn't really fit for purpose in teaching newer players, IMO.
I had a LotA run where DPS so slow on last boss, I actually saw new mechanics I've never seen before lol
The level sync for older content, specifically raids/Alliance raids is bad. The result is tedious and boring Alliance raids, except for SB and ShB (even EW seems horribly undertuned).
Thing is, rewards for doing these raids nowadays is also laughable. Glamour rewards are entirely random and you may need 10-20+ runs to get the piece you need. Some people feel forced to do them for current currency (even though they are better means to acquire it, like a single night of Treasure maps with friends, but I digress).
I'm all for them bringing the scaling/difficulty to where it should be to make them FUN, but they also need to add some sort of currency you can use to buy/guarantee glamour with to 'compensate'. This would be win/win for us players, I think.

No please keep the CT raids easy so I can get minimal damage to my retinas caused by oversaturated crystals and horribly lit corridors/arenas.
I'd rather they just keep it the way it is it's old content and i get that to some it would be more fun but to many it would also be the opposite and look at the nier raids many hate them because they take longer though this is because of the hp the bosses i feel like re balancing old raids would end up feeling the same
I agree there is definitely room to bring old content back up to par. I saw someone earlier talk about twisters on an AR scale - I too love that image.
They need some number adjustments, I think. A lower iLvl would go a long way but there has also been a lot of potency creep since then.

get with the times, the game has moved on from anything in the past that may have been a challenge, these raids included.
How about just leaving old content as it is so they can focus on new things?
I think if they brought them to an ilvl of what the average player would've had when they were new, it would cause a lot of wipes. And I'd be down to see that and all the complaints about it by people who have only ever cruised freely through them.
Pretty much my point of view. This isn't mid 2000s era FFXI. The entire design around FFXIV is built around getting people through old content as quickly and easily as possible, to get to current content.
That said, I wouldn't mind seeing (Ultimate) versions of those raids for people to do outside of roulette.
Well, the Crystal Tower raids are kind of a in special place because of Shadowbringers... You NEED them for the MSQ, but they've been just thoroughly powercrept that they almost might as well not have mechanics.
And if changes would happen and Alliance Roulette would be at minimum ~40 min suddenly there would be less people interested.
I honestly see more party wipes on CT than on any other Alliance on the game, unless you get a problematic Doomgaze, Diablo or that Megadeath guy.
I would love CT getting revamped, but it might be a monkey paw wish considering all the retooled dungeons.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the only thing that should be revamped is Coils of Bahamut.
It's just Solo/Un-Sync fodder at this point but has some of the greatest of the boss fights/music/ and lore.
It feels like a very important part of the story that I feel a good majority of players don't know exist because of the lack of being able to simply queue for it.
