I have not seen any other posts or comments about this mechanic, but the sound of Outerstage/Centerstage combo is genuinely so earpiercing that I had to mute all of my game sounds.
Is anyone else having this problem/sensitive to the sfx?

I hear it too!!
It's super horrible, a loud 14 kHz tone, it's totally not supposed to be there.
It starts with the Outerstage / Centerstage animation from Arcadion M2 Savage, repeats 3 times, the last time stays longer and ends with the animation.

I can hear it as well.
It starts roughly between 1:26 and 1:27 in this video of the fight: https://youtu.be/OqtPbLygc-A?si=QBSanbPEOyMyNdyA&t=85
Perhaps the audio team didn't check the spectrum visualizer for this noise?
I hope this gets fixed quick, as my friend can't focus when they hear it...
I've noticed it too, had to disable SFX because I couldn't handle it.
Surprised to see so few people mentioning it!
I noticed this too. I thought it was intentional but the sound is just unbearable... hopefully they patch it soon.
Yep, please fix, is very grating.
It's actively painful. I had to mute a stream while watching a friend do m2s. It doesn't seem super intentional but even if it is a change would be very much appreciated.
for some reason i never heard any extra sounds during that mech, not even in the video linked here.
I always thought my hearing was above average
I hear it too and it's very painful, I really hope that it's patched out ASAP because it's making the fight unbearable.
I thought i was the only one hearing this !! I've been complaining in every PF trying to see if anyone else noticed. I thought i was going crazy wth...
This made this fight so annoying to prog cause of the high pitch sounds. I rely alot on the sounds of the WAR 123 hit combo, and many other hit sounds to know my buttons go off. So having to turn off sfx is not an option for me.
Please SE fix this :( Its very painful !
OMG I'm not the only one! The high pitched whine in the SFX is awful. Please fix.
So, I'm super sensitive to high pitch noise, I am now nursing nausea, a piercing headache and almost fell due to balance problems after my static got to Honey B. Savage tonight. I legit cannot play with that noise. It physically hurts to hear and affects me as mentioned.
This NEEDS to be patched or I can't play this content.
So I managed to possibly isolate the sound effect to check what frequencies could possibly cause this issue and found 2 possible ones, one at about 14.1kHz and one at about 15.5kHz.
This definitely needs to be fixed as it can lead to: Nausea, Disorientation and probably a lot more.
I can personally attest to both of the two I listed since a raid group I help with a person experienced both of those cases due to said sound.
This is what is shown in spectrum analysis:

The two boxes in blue are what I think is causing the issues for people.
This needs to be fixed, please SE.
20 years of heavy metal have made sure that I can't hear something like this lmao
Felt like I was going insane everytime we got to this part in savage, would ask "does anyone else hear this awful sound" and get nothing back, just ended up having to mute all sound effects. Hopefully the devs see this and remove it or fix the sound.
Square enix never ceases to surprise me with their sheer level of incompetence. This issue somehow managed to slip by everyone who designed and playtested the fight. They've also left it in for week 2 now, refusing to do anything about it.
There was an update today, but the notes say nothing about fixing this issue even though other parts of the savage fights were fixed: https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...5120b9ab9543c6
Has anyone tried the fight again to check if the issue is still there?
If it is, then I fear we might need to be louder about it as people are apparently not feeling well because of that sound.
I thought I was crazy cause no one else in my static could hear it but when we first got to that mechanic it was so disorienting that I had to turn my headset down everytime it comes up cause I cant turn the SFX cause I need them for other mechs. Square enix really needs to fix this cause it wasnt addressed in the hotfixes.
I thought I was going insane when we were progging this last week but after a bit of people not talking about mechanics I was able to find it's that combo. I don't have a terrible reaction to it but it does just bother me since I'm trying to focus on healing. I submitted a bug report on it but I haven't heard anything about it, and the only way I've found to fix it is to mute the SFX, which isn't great when I'm trying to use my divination with our DNC.
This sound affected me so badly I had to call prog early. It made me dizzy and disoriented and my neck muscles stiffened because of flinching from it. The fact that it's still in the game at this point makes me think they'll never patch it out. Makes me want to give up on raiding. I'm the healer so it goes really badly during this mechanic. I have super sensitive ears. I'm thankfully not nauseous but still, getting dizzy and a headache from this sucks. So much for enjoying the game.
"・An issue with AAC Light-heavyweight M2 (Savage) wherein the enemy actions Centerstage Combo and Outerstage Combo caused an erroneous sound effect to play."
We're saved!
I just did reclears today and I wasn't one of the ones who had actual issues with the noise, but it's kind of funny. In a way I've been so conditioned to hearing it, that it being gone now has me noticeably aware of how "empty" it sounds now and it's in a way more distracting than it was.
I'll get used to it obviously, but just kind of funny how I kinda miss it now.
Man i never notice o w o or are ppl trolling an baiting again
Thank you SE team ~ the high pitch sounds are no longer there :D
