Lack of Weapon Glamour Lately

Debated for awhile about posting this but after latest patch and having been on the farms for some older content, it's been bugging me slightly.
Since EW it feels like there has been a severe lack of effort going into making weapons specifically for glamour, barring "status symbols" like Ultimate. DT especially has highlighted it even further...
From the ShB tier of Extremes we *still* don't have any crafted weapons for SoS and Diamond Weapon.
This was a problem in EW as well with Reaper and Sage, but Pictomancer and Viper have barely any sort of glams to work towards with old content. They said they were adding some in "unexpected places" but the only ones that were not already expected (pvp, deep dungeon, the EW dungeons, E12s and P12s) was TOP and the Alolo Island Savage upgrade.
I know it takes some effort to come up with glamour for weapons, but lately it feels like they don't particularly care anymore. I like to be able to switch out glamours or have a sort of "theme" for certain times of the year, but it has been becoming more difficult to do that with new jobs.

yeah would be nice if they at least make a few chosen trial weapons for the new jobs. all these existing designs forever lost for new jobs

I do not understand why the older new jobs, like sam, got acess to shiva stuff and such, now they do not do that

i really like to see real glam options for picto... hey can i buy an Ultimate Omega Weapon clear so my picto can have a nice glam? XD

I still use the King Moggle Mog Katana as glam whenever I pick up SAM, literally no mechanical reason to exist but I'm glad it does

Yeah sam and rdm got spoiled when they came out. They had a lot of glamour. When GNB and Dancer came out they had less, but I originally let it go because there was a few good ones. But then it seems to get worse for every new job. I don't expect weapons from stuff that it isn't at level for (example I don't expect gear from a Stormblood ex on viper) but I would think they would do these so people would want to farm old content.

It's disappointing for sure, and while I'm fairly sure they've acknowledged that people take issue with this, nothing's been done about it...

why not? they did it for sam/ rdm like we just explained (i/e shiva was an EX, moogle was an EX, these were current long time ago and was treated at one time like the current EX now are.

Because VPR starts at level 80, so ShB would be its first relevant expansion

It sucks they dont at least at its starting level ex weapons... idk im always sad having those gabs in my book or when checking the Mb...

RDM and SAM got proportionally more weapon glamours probably because there were less weapons needing to be made per fight at the time. Every new job adds more to the overall workload for weapons from that point forward.

Plus, since RDM and SAM released at level 50, it feels more like they got "everything" because there were no lower endgame levels for them to miss out on.

This is true and why I said originally that I was fine with GNB and Dancer having less when they came out. Even with that fact, both last expansion and now it feels slim compared to before.

I was of the impression that there is a fairly predictable selection of weapon sets that get the new weapons added to them? Like, always the two poetics-purchased sets and top raid tier at the previous endgame level, top poetics weapon at the starter level, deep dungeon gear, things like that.

For comparison I looked up what the new jobs have vs what the older ones had from before their respective expansion ranges (cut for length):

Overall it seems that there's no gradual decline, just a very enthusiastic early effort that got drastically toned down back in Shadowbringers and has stayed fairly stable since then. There are less dungeon weapons because there are less dungeons that give weapons in the first place, but then there's a building number of specific sources (deep dungeons and PVP) that are always made available to each new job as they are added.

Perhaps the feeling of "getting less" comes from there being a longer list of content that doesn't get weapons for the new jobs, even though the list of content that does is much the same as before.

There's still less being made when it comes to the content in general for all jobs. There has been a severe lack of the crafted weapons from ex mats. (Which was my other point)
