Favority Drama

There is nothing quite like FFXIV drama, it is really hilarious at times. Which one has been YOUR favorite drama?

- Fat Black Chocobo Twitch drops drama
- Lalafell chairs (LOL) drama
- Healer Strike drama
- Black mages crying because picto is better drama
- Viper day 1 nerfs drama
- Viera and Hrothgar no headpiece displayed drama
- Dawntrail normal content too hard drama

and so many more I can't even remember

Black mage "dodging" ley lines because they reached the buff cap on TOP will never stop beign funny to me

i seemed to have missed this one, not sure why this is a thing i found all the dawntrail content to be easy even the dungeons you unlock after the story


my favorite would be the healer strike they thought they would make a difference and they infact changed nothing not even queue times was affected

I'm not surprised that it hasn't done anything so far because SE has been ignoring healer complaints of simplification for what... 7 years? Ever since the release of Stormblood, they're pretty much professionals at ignoring healer complaints by this point.

If a company has been ignoring literally 1/3 of the holy trinity for almost a decade then gee, I wonder why the players for that role are discontent with how things are.

the Lalafell chair drama was some of the funniest shit I think i've ever seen, not just ff14 drama but in general

some of the recent posts here post DT have rivalled it, but nothing tops seeing people that mad over a tiny chair and likening its existence to being discriminated against

I just wanted to also say the "Lalafell lifter" drama. That was hilarious.
Preach laughing and someone from work coming to me "Hey... you play that game right? What's going on there?"

I think I lost a few years from laughing with a friend so much after seeing Pyromancer's meltdown.

That sure is a lot of recent stuff. Kind of makes the ARR-Stormblood era look normal.

There's no content too hard drama, or at least nothing new, it's the same every xpac start with people having pajama gear. The only difference is that the first tier from previous expansions was always a snoozefest.

By far the most hilarious one yet lol

Some long standing ones that resurface from time to time

- Genderlocked gear/hair drama (DRG belly window if you want a classic)
- Healer dps drama
- You pull you tank drama
- Housing drama
- Parser drama
- Cash shop drama

True, unfortunately. Ill never understand it.

That said, I think the billboard event is one of the funnier things to happen relating to this game. Also its a bit more obscure, but if anyone knows the forum post "an experience with a toxic player in tonberry" that one is quite good too.

The billboard. Hands down.

Every now and then we have LGBTQIA+%$^#★▲§※∞ drama going on as well

also something about race and diversity.

The bill board drama had me geeking.

Nothing can beat the Billboard drama. The fact that someone PAID to put it up...Oh god I'm laughing just thinking about it.

Billboard drama at least died out almost immediately, just like the grapes. Viera/Hrothgar headgear wins in terms of longevity. Could argue YPYT has been around longer, but the brainless modernized meme version of it hasn't.

Although...there is another strong candidate: Housing drama

yeah the streamer who thought being a lalafel was like being a minority in a high school was pretty wild. That guy has never been as popular since.

The billboard event was my favorite favorite drama, followed by the lalafell lifter. Man, that one was unhinged.

I had complelty forgotten about the billboard drama lol, the meltdown from that was top tier indeed

Ones that keep saying the game is not hard enough and wants it harder or healers are too boring and then starts a healer's strike.

This joke is so overdone at this point it makes me want to rip my head off.

My favorite drama is the expansion Dawntrail. The devs cannot use story first mmo second, when the story have bad pace and VA english remind me of wuthering waves debut which is somewhat bad. I cannot wait to see what card they are pulling now.

The April 1st Live Letter for 6.1 part 2 (the one where they revealed photos of earless Hrothgar sporting poorly chosen hairstyles).

Oh, and the billboard drama, of course.

Both of those moments felt like fever dreams to me...

I think what made it funny was the fact CCs got genuinely enraged and mad at each over from it and it wasn't just the weird people in the game that take it too seriously.
All over some really ugly chair no one even uses.
