It's time to re-open DC travel for Dynamis

I get SE said 7.01 OR 7.05, but this is a really sucky thing for those who have a lot more friends on Crystal, Primal, or Aether than they do their main server and want to freely be able to choose between which datacenters they visit.

I really hate being locked to Dynamis only, Please just reopen them. Theres other ways to prevent congestion and in fact the qeues alone should have been enough incentive for people to go to other DC's without locking them.

Agreed. If they're taking down some of the extra instances, that alone should be a good sign that we're settling into the expansion from launch. It DC travel restrictions should be lifted.

Bit disappointed too but I suspect they want to force residents of the DC to play there for a bit then just run off and leave the DC non functional. We've all gotten used to going elsewhere and I suspect that habit will just continue. I haven't checked the other servers to see how they're filling up.

Surprised this hasnt been done for 7.01 for how tame queues have been not only on my own DC but on Dynamis itself whenever I go there.

I just checked the server status and all servers other than Dynamis are congested. They are probably going to wait until the congestion is more normalized with one or 2 being congested. My main is on a DC many travel to and for world content like hunts etc it's been good since we have a lot less obnoxious people pulling early. For roulettes though? I think we must have had a lot of tanks and heals traveling from other DC's.

That congested status is set manually by SE once per expansion, It's not dynamic.

Either way, that means I don't think they will be allowing DC travel. They also tend to be somewhat responsive on setting this since people would wait until like 2 a.m. to make a character on certain servers because they are/were more likely to be not be marked as congested.

The issue is that they know that once they open the flood gates everyone will go to Ather for PF and than it will be congested AF.
They should allow cross-datacenter PF already, they said they can already.

So i can finaly visit my American Friends.

Also, just an FYI, but if these people are your friends they should be willing to travel to Dynamis and play with you. Travel to this DC is still open.
