Can we please expand the Action Change system

Right as the title said with DT we got the action change system allowing us to combine certain actions.
Like radiant finale turning in to radiant encore for BRD, or barrel stabilizer in to full metal machinist for MCH to help with button bloat.

However, it did not change some of the things we have been requesting for years like the base 1-2-3 combo pretty much all jobs have.
Nor did it address the issues of "dead" skills on our bars that do nothing outside of our "powered up" stages.

Take MCH for example, there auto crossbow skill it's essentially the same as scatter gun except it does more damage and is only available during overheat.
Therefore, there is no reason for it to be a separate key bind, just have scatter gun turn in to auto crossbow during overheat.

And before you comment about my skill expression, there is nothing skillful of pressing 1-2-3 over pressing 1 x3
Nor is it skillful of me to press shift 6 during overheat on AOE for auto crossbow instead of just pressing 6 outside my overheat window, it's just more buttons for the sake of more buttons.
And if you don't like it, you can just turn it off

It is entirely possible that they went light on purpose to test the waters as they say, and they will expand it at a later date, but I want more sooner rather than later.

The oddest thing is that there are numerous actions that were shown as "combined" during the Media Tour that are no longer combined during the actual release. For some reason, they backpedaled on this optional comfort/accessibility feature...

My guess is they pulled back out of the fear of backlash, the community LOVES to cling to the strangest things.
But at the same time, it's not like they have to use it if they don't want too its strange.

I'd love to be able to combine Flourish > Fan Dance IV, Devilment > Starfall Dance, and Standard Finish/Finishing Move > Last Dance. I'm on controller and only have limited space especially if I want to include potions, food, etc. on my hotbar.

(Before you say "Use the WXHB", I am. I can't use the extended WHXB though because I have jitters in my hands that otherwise don't affect my play but do make me double-tap often at the wrong time.)

I came here to also request this. As controller player, changing my main 1-2-3 into a 1-1-1 would do wonders for me. I'd have to claw less, and my mobility and strafing would benefit.

As a PLD main, my 1-2-3 does not branch out into anything since they got ride of the enmity/dps dual combos. It would make so much sense to let me condense that down. Really I would like more options for all the classes to condense where it obviously makes sense.

To be honest, many people who voice against the feature are not even playing the game intensively. Many of them are even using bots to handle their rotations. I think Yoshi.P should know it.

This and someone already revealed the fake outrage at simplicity by recommending the combo button be slotted to 3 different action slots if it has 3 combos in the action.

I want all almost all the dead hotbar slots able to be merged into other buttons. (The 111 222 111 222 of PCT is nice, though.) There is no skill expression involved in having Last Dance on its own button, and it makes it harder for me to fit all my potions I need for side content on my hotbar.

I think PVP combos in PVE would likely result in a lot of people turning them on and then bemoaning how boring their rotation is, and it would be extraordinarily cursed to apply to new MNK.

There's no excuse to not include PvP combo's

Like their literally a 100% optional QOL feature, how is the community still divided on this?

Might as well play a healer if you *really* want to mash 1 button over and over that badly.
At that point, the only difference would be animations. STOP asking for consolidation of melee combo's, please..
They actually give the community what they want whenever people are crying about stuff like this..
And no, there is no optional setting for this. This would become the best way to play the game.
We DO NOT need FURTHER simplification. Just go play an idle game, seriously. Stop ruining the game.

Oh please we've been over this a bunch of times already, 123 as an OPTION is no more challenging and thoughtful than pressing 111. Jobs with combos have more than one damage button to press compared to healers anyways between cooldowns, spenders and other timed actions. Viper is a good example that you can condense not one, not two, but four combos down into two buttons (8 actions -> 2 hotkeys) and it's still going to be okay. Like I'm sorry, but there is no skill involved in hitting your 123(45) button sequence, it's purely a matter of muscle memory. On multi-combo jobs you can still make mistakes by initiating the wrong combo sequence, so it doesn't delete all failstates either.

The jobs that would generally benefit this feature are those with multiple or long combo paths. Dragoon and Samurai with their multitude of combos would come to mind for relinquishing a lot of hotbar real estate. These jobs also have plenty of other actions to press besides combos.

I despise it when things are suggested or asked for as an optional feature and people are like "stop ruining the game" like for whom? For you?
