Glamour request : sphene's dress

Multiple pieces and no genderlock. This dress is 10/10. Please put it on the mogstation ASAP. I don't care what it costs I just need it

Since it's modeled in a standard midlander female model, I'm pretty sure they'll want to cash grab this in the Mogstation at some point (hair as well).

Probably way ahead in the future, though.

Edit: I wonder if the thread title is spoilery... It's her name, but alone, it doesn't give anything.

Nothing about the thread talks about story. And her name is revealed in the same conversation where she first appears, so it's not much of a spoiler anyway.

As far as glam.....I wouldn't mind it, but recent costumes like Gaia and the Omega suits don't set a great precedent for multiple parts. Don't get your hopes up.

Considering NPC attire is almost always genderlocked except for Omega, it will almost certainly be genderlocked when/if it arrives on the Mogstation.

It'll 100% come to mogstation and I hope to god it's genderlocked because it wouldn't look good on guys.

I love the dress, but it feels so special I feel it would kinda suck to see a bunch of players running around wearing it. (Not gonna lie I'd love to have it though lol.)

This, but also dyable please, with two slots, and one that isn't just like a buckle or something. If it's not dyable everyone using it will look like copycats.

They don't care about that lol. They made Fran's iconic "armor" the racial gear for fem Viera -- never mind all the NPC costumes you can already snag from the store.

We're still waiting on some NPC gear from several expansions ago *cough* Yotsuyu's robes *cough*
They always seem to take way too long to put NPC outfits on the mog station. Though I am sure it's likely a combination of the mog station team being completely separate, and wanting to make sure a significant distance is placed so as to avoid spoilers etc.

I believe the official answer back then was that Yotsuyu's kimono wasn't designed with combat animations in mind (in particular, the lower half isn't designed to spread much, so it would look really badly stretched), so it'd have to be redesigned for players to wear it. Then I guess it just got lost in the shuffle and forgotten about.

we have caster/healer gear FROM stormblood that haas lower robes like that, plus there's a crafted robe now

LOL I remember saying this as soon as I saw it in game: "That'll be on Mogstation".

Probably already exists as a mod though.

currently, none of the mogstation outfits are limited by job as to who can use them. Her robes might function well for casters, but imagine a monk trying to use them doing the flips and everything when they weren't designed to move that way. Caster robes, since Heavensward, can't be worn by melee DPS, and so don't have to be made in such a way as to accomodate that movement.

It will probably be on the Mogstation but it will not be dyeable and will be one piece, maybe two or more if we're lucky.

Even then though, not being dyeable means I would probably never wear it and would just buy it for the hair if it came with the hairstyle.
Sometimes I really wonder why they choose some of the colors they choose on these NPC outfits. I HATED the pink and rusty red and random purple on Minfilia's original outfit. Wish to holy hell I could have dyed that monstrosity.

I'd love a male version, like a "Prince of Alexandria" with the same aesthetics and theme. I don't want to wear a dress but I do like the concept behind the fashion. Maybe a men's royal suit with the back cut out with sheer fabric for the tattoos.

I'm still waiting for Raha's outfit, but I'm sure again they'll cater to the female PC's

I do not want to see Roebros and Hrothguys wearing girl outfits. I see enough eye-gougingly horrible examples of them in bunny suits and Thavanairian sets.

honestly I wish it will get gender lock and I still say that more of the mogstation item should be gender locked because well it's would look great only on female xx)

Same. I like the idea of creating both a more masculine and feminine version of things for more variety and mix & match potential, but let anyone wear anything they want.

Am with you on that one! Actually - whilst I love that outfit, the fact that it can't be dyed is the reason I never purchased it.

They’ve been slowly going back and adding dye channels to old NPC gear, so hopefully Minfilia’s gets them, although I don’t know if there’s a way to do it that would get rid of all the pink! lol

Since it's an NPC attire, it's likely not going to be dyeable like the rest. Unless there are NPC dyeable oufits I've forgotten about...

Off the top of my head:

- Lyse's Leadership Attire
- Oracle's Attire
- Gaia's Attire
- Minfilia's Modish Attire
- Krile's Attire
- Scion Liberator's Attire

We have heavens' ward fits, as in badguy fits, so sphene's dress would be ok. Cmon se, put it in mogstation.

Thancred's HW fit is dyeable. So, Y'shtola's HW fit is likely too.

Yes they seem to be updating the NPC outfits for the graphics update in batches, a few per patch, and make them dyeable at the same time.

The work has already been done. I already paid for the expansion that it's from and I already have the files installed on my computer. What exactly are you asking me to pay for here?

Because the subscription price has remained same so did expansion price since launch .so mogstation provided them much needed extra revenue .so stop crying .

Price hasn't increased but quality and quantity of content has decreased. Shrinkflation is real.

The size of the playerbase had also drastically increased (before the game lost 2/3 of its playerbase) so they were already generating more revenue.
