Server Crash

Think there was a server crash on Sargatanas... any other crashes? lol

Good thing it was just Sargatanas and not glorious Ridill.

I'm sorry on my linkshells behalf.. we believe it was our dog pile that crashed the server.

We wanted to pass along some info as to why sometimes you'll run into the server or area going down but not see a notice about it:


Servers are monitored 24/7/365, and if anything goes wrong we immediately get to work on restoration. In the event that these issues affect a large amount of players, multiple areas, and the problem persists for a long time, we will make an announcement on the Lodestone and support center, but I’d like to explain why we do not want to do this for other issues.

In the case that the issue occurs only for a short time or the range of its effect is not very wide, we do not make an announcement via News since it has the negative effect of burying more important announcements.

We apologize that there are not other means of checking server status, but for A Realm Reborn we will be working on a feature for the launcher that will allow you to check on the server status.

Also, we have received comments about “ninja patches” for materia creation rates and dark light equipment drop rates, but this has never taken place. There would only be two cases when a decision to perform this kind of patch would take place and that is when something is left out of the patch notes or if the game is behaving in a way that was not originally planned due to a bug or other reason.

Any chance that stuff has been left out of the 1.23 notes? A hidden timer maybe where one of the final stage events begins not on patch day but in-between? O_O

they should add more memory and graphic cards to thier sever station's it might work and because of server crash iv went bk to 11 reason a no crash b way more content and im not board ill come bk wehn 2.0 comes out

heh, there are always ninja changes in patches, no matter how small. But maybe they stopped doing ninja changes since some odd patches ago. I know 1.18 and 1.19 had a lot of ninja changes in them both.

hehehe Good one! I wouldn't admit I was a ninja either if I was a ninja. I'm sure not every server had been ninja'd by SE, maybe some. I remember them saying they will "mitigate" certain servers based on economy to maintain balance if it's deemed necessary. ie if there are too many tier 4 Materias in a server. I could be wrong...
