Liked graphic update: Let them know

Just want to let devs know I liked the graphic update in almost every way (except the 2 dye channels not working on level 1 racial gear like with female viera boots).

Great work on graphics update, everybody's looking their best selves now.

PS. Thank you for fixing glasses being 20 feet from their face on female viera.

I really liked the part where I have access to all the hats since they set up everything! They made it real nice and convenient to not be tempted to use third party tools!

the graphics themselves are nice. the problem imo is the shadows. u can see it here in my character, he falls to absolute pieces the minute hes in shadow

The people that like it they know aren't going to be bothered by posting on social media platforms while the ones that can't help but cry about things will. That is how you know you did something right is you have a vocal minority but your main player base is just in game enjoying the new stuff.

My biggest issue with the graphics update is the engine still doesn't use 16 threads equally, the new antialiasing option is half baked and it is a temporal solution so that just ....it isn't good, the game without reshade still looks washed out as all -redacted-, and the biggest gripe is there is no anticheat built into the game. Ohh and Wuk exists, having to turn to the JP voices to make her sound normal and well done IS NOT OK.

Overall for a very small graphics update it isn't bad but all of this should have been done in EW as it isn't anything special.

I am mixed about it. It is objectively on a technical level an upgrade. The Nvidia DLSS setting is really nice.

People are talking about eyestrain, and I notice what they mean, but it doesn't bother me as much.

Players are extremely in tune with how their character's look, and they are not wrong for being upset. It's their identity within the game. However SE has addressed many of the issues. The two things that bothered me most were fixed: the lip gap and eyelashes. However the nose shape and especially the faded face stripes still bother me. Hopefully we will get an update to character customization that allows finer adjustments to these things.

There are quite a few glasses not available as face wear, including my favorite: Coeurl Eyeglasses

I've had nothing but positive experience with it.
Over all fixed a lot of issues I had with the old lighting and textures.
Did nothing but polish my current appearance, and restored the most important features of the other appearance I use. (Thank you thank you thank you se for returning the mooncat fangs and face 4's lip gap!)
The world textures look phenomenal (and the grass tech is great!!)

And all this without impacting my fps too much (happily sitting above 120fps in most scenarios at 2k. Though Tuliyollal is rough)

I like the part where they made the graphics look blurry and cause people eye strain.

It's nice they finally added temporal antialiasing. The shimmering in FF always drove me nuts.

I absolutely love the graphic update. I'm looking forward to everything getting a proper new polish like the new zones have. And I adore the new character faces. Everything looks so good.

I love most of the update. The only issue is and avoiding spoilers, please next time dont use assets that you know wont be updated on new characters, especially in cutscenes where you zoom in on them.

My Keeper of the Moon is absolutely gorgeous with the update!
I'm especially appreciative that the lip gap she had pre-update, that was removed in the benchmarks, was restored. It gives her face & mouth type a really cute unique smile that you can't get with other combinations. I was sad to see it gone and didn't have much hope it would come back, but the awesome team restored it beautifully<3
Also her eyes are so luminous! The color in the benchmarks seemed a bit faint, but it's just as vibrant as ever now in the live game.

The AA is huge. I love going to all the old zones and seeing all the increased foliage and no jaggies

I really liked the graphical update, and how it didn't melt my pc (run a 6700k i7 & gtx1080) and can still run max graphics on 1080p. Great job with the implementation!

I enjoyed the graphical changes, right up until I noticed Thancred's necklace/choker is as furry as a moogles arse!

Still all in all good changes.

I like the update as a whole.
New metals, for example, look absolutely fantastic.

What I dislike is that they use such low quality skin textures... have you seen Elezen faces?!

Also, face paints are not properly upscaled. Having a new face and ancient ultra low res blurry as heck facepaints looks so dumb on Mr. Promise 2.

DLSS settings are also completely broken and idiotic.
Let me set it like it works in other games: Performance/Quality -> Always on/off toggle that the user decides. Instead of this Shroedinger's DLSS "is it running or not?"....

I don't know I don't see any change in FPS no matter what option I pick.
