So has anyone run any parsers to see how each relic outperforms the second best weapons (currently the Garuda series)?
I'd say probably DRG
Pld = Drg > Brd > Whm > Mnk > War = Blm
Something like that in terms of usefulness, however the Drg is probably the best on in terms of Damage increase.
seems like its hard to see the MP proc on BLM so underwelming so far from other members experiences.
for me its a downgrade since I currently have:
48INT
20AMP
12lightning AMP
+ 5macc from wood shield (no grid)
If i were to use stardust I'd be
-3INT
-2AMP (for lightning and +10 for all else)
-5macc
+conserve MP50
+1-5% crit depeding on the target mob probably 2-3% on targets that mater.
It would cost me at least 20M & at least 30 hours of farming/killing not to mention another round of av/cc speeds and all the other parts to it.
I was under the impression that the huge INT boost on BLM was really good, that and the enmity on Warrior's axe.
If anything the Monk one looked quite uninspired
The BRD one is a fantastic damage upgrade but other than that it's pretty underwhelming. Extended song duration is fairly pointless.
The blm wpn is triple meld quality, with some additional properties, big crit boost and mp conservation.
Its not that big of an INT boost as you may think. It may look like a big boost but you put that vs garuda. you gain 15int
but lose 25macc which you will have to make up somewhere else. (most likely a ring slot). Adding all the other stats on it. It's still a nice weapon. but IF the conserve MP isn't that great it loses A lot of its appeal in my opinion.
Hopefully they can improve that MP boost a bit. It's definitely one of the cooler looking relics.
The best is MNK, because they're kitty faces.

the mnk is pretty sick looking in person, its mouth opens up as you go active mode.
PLD is one of the top because it gets one of the biggest damage boosts compared to other relics over their Primal counterparts, has a chance to heal mp, spirits damage boost, a little hp and healing magic pot., and a solid +40 Acc. Throw in the Shield for its +25 def and refresh you get alot of bonuses that play to the jobs strengths and helps with their weaknesses.
its not the 1min on songs so much the 1min on 2hr'd songs
also thinking about it more it gives the ARC a big dmg increase since they have to do songs less often which helps prevent their dps from being interrupted less.
I think though if you've played FFXI you probably expected a bit more even if it was subconsciously. In all reality it feels it enhances the Archer part of Barcher rather than the BRD part which is why I feel it was too early for them to introduce this class with a lack of choice, but eh, people use it over Archer now even for DD, so it works.

pld is strongest all-around. drg has the best bonuses otherwise. the extra minute on songs gives brd more time to dps and support without needing to recast songs (and as previously mentioned is even better on BV). war and mnk are both upgrades over the garuda counterpoints simply by virtue of increased DPS alone- with bravura being even better for tank/offtank use. people are really underrating the value of sphairai and it's silly (higher damage, 60 attk, increased fists uptime with refresh, slight increase to shoulder tackle dmg- all contribute towards increasing mnk's damage ceiling). blm is a great piece but you have to make sure you're able to compensate for the loss of accuracy (pending encounter), and so far conserve mp seems underwhelming. whm is the most overrated of all the relics as it has a silly bonus (lolholy) and pretty much only gives you a couple more hp per tick on your regen.
