Rightfully so. I don’t play it personally but I’m happy to hear y’all have a week to enjoy the game without being pressured to balance both that and FF.
Just wanted to bid all of y’all a good gaming session. :)

I have played Elden Ring, but 1 week is way to short for me to enjoy the DLC.
Gonna wait buying the DLC and play FFXIV instead.. until i reach downtime in ffxiv.
I try to do a fair chunk but i also wont rush myself. Just trying to enjoy it :)

gonna be a hell of a week
I still need to finish TTYD which I'll probably focus on during the 48 hour maint. I don't plan to pick up ER until after the initial DT rush.
Then again, while I do like ER, I didn't like it as much as DS3/BB. For me personally the game was at its best in its legacy dungeons and at its worst in the (imo too) numerous mnini dungeons and overworld, and I prefer the smaller worlds of the DS trilogy and BB for this genre of game over super massive open world. So that may be part of why, while I do intend to play it, I'm not in a big rush.
It may not be enough time to finish Elden Ring, but:
1. Most people play new game's and DLC for a few days to a week then do the next new game or DLC. At least this is what I've always observed. So there is probably a gradual drop-off and a week is probably the correct answer.
2. A week allows the initial hype of Elden Ring to happen. It may remain there for months but the peak of it is gonna be in the first week so it gives some time for that rush to just happen.
3. Obviously he can't delay the expansion for months just so people can beat all of the Elden Ring.
4. I don't see a problem with them clashing anyway. It would reduce congestion! Might dent the media and social hype though, which is meant to bring in lots of new players. This might be unavoidable now regardless.
If you invade YoshiP and can take out him and his onion gang, he'll flag your account so your house(s) will be permanently exempt from demolishing.
Oh right, I started Elden Ring and then got distracted and never got back to it. Maybe I'll poke at that some more over the week.
wasnt this a joke?
Ironically it'll take most people longer to finish Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree than ffxiv dawntrail. The joke's totally on yoship.
I'll finish the msq/leveling of the new jobs in 3-4 days then go back to Elden Ring.
Elden Ring took me about a month to finish, and this was back when I wasn't working. I tend to get distracted easily and go exploring every little nook and cranny when playing open world games. If the DLC actually is about half the size of the base game then 1 week isn't enough time for me to finish it so I'm going to wait until after Dawntrail launches and play it during downtime between patches. I like learning new fights in FF14 when nobody knows what they're doing, so it's best to do them as soon as possible. I tend to play Elden Ring solo so it doesn't matter when I play it.
I do not get it why people like Elden Ring so much. I watched some streamers playing it. But it is just running around and killing some mobs. It's like a typical asian grinder.
Cheers
Eventually i'll try elden ring again
i hated the open world aspect personally but maybe i'd enjoy it more if i just focused on doing the story bosses
My 1st playthru of Elden Ring, I was stuck on Malenia for a full week and that was being grossly over leveled. I'm sure there's a boss in the DLC that will make we run back to Malenia for comfort lol
Dont play it myself but yoshi-p made a good choice with the delay for one week.
Enjoy Elden Ring DLC!
I’ve honestly been playing a ton of Shin Megami Tensei Vengeance - so I also appreciate the time to play and enjoy another game.
