Do gms actually do work?

I'm wondering cause there's this afk carry group that's been up in pf since yesterday and not one GM is getting rid of them. Usually they are good about that.

Have a feeling grand dice has a gm in their back pocket saving them.

Ye they do, from my personal experience

From what I can tell they only usually care about harrasment cases, and dont really care about basically anything else. Especially bots or stuff like what you mentioned.

Imagine the amount of nonsense tickets they must have to wade through before they even encounter a legitimate problem.

It's well known they don't handle legit stuff. If they did then alot of players would find themselves without accounts who stalk, harass, pedo etc.

- They're a large group so if one gets knocked down, another is ready to take their place. They also pay random people to do their advertising in the same way venue ad runners work.
- They operate mainly in Discord, so that's out of Square's interest nor will they take evidence from there due to how it can be easily manipulated

There's nothing to tin foil hat here, check out their Discord if you want to see how large they are. GMs can only handle the revolving door of PF ads, not the actual business that's going down on a 3rd party platform.

They don't from my personal experience. The only time they act is if someone hurt someone else's fweelings. PvE griefing in DF, PvP Griefing, blatant hacking, ToS violations in PF listings. They don't respond to these issues unless you can get mass, MASS reports going.

I've heard plenty of people have met a GM so yes. I've also used the support desk myself multiple times and got a response and reported a bug once (which got fixed). People often post thanking the GMs for their help on these forums and sometimes they reply.

there are no GM's is my view due to the fact that in any data center on any server if you are by the market boards and go into afk background mode in Limsa eventually you will pan and display 30 or so male "same look" lalafell's UNDER THE WORLD just chilling.

Not even in the slightest. I'm convinced there are no GMs anymore. I got messaged by one after a report not too terribly long ago and I'm convinced that was actually a hallucination. They're ineffective.

I wonder if one would put some ai prompt question through the helpdesk menu, what type of answer would come back.

I know they do work but maybe the idea of GM is a little bit inaccurate. People expect the old school GM to appear and help out and instead we get ingame mail exchange at the best, and gaol at the worst.

In the communication they try to be super nice and polite all the time, which is heroic feat when taking into account the amount of complaints (some even fake or brigaded) about hurt feelings they have to go through. Big respect for that.

I've reported someone for being homophobic in party chat and had a GM contact me via in-game whispers a very short time after sending the report. So in my experience, yes.
