Please keep Sage's double DOT

Please Yoshi, for the love of God, do not nerf E Dyskrasia. You marketed this as the DPS healer, you already took away SCHs double dot, so LET. US. HAVE THIS. Idgaf if you have to nerf Dosis's potency if it's too strong. I want to use some modicum of brainpower for dot juggling.

yeah I figured it wouldn't stack. Welp Sages it was fun while it lasted

I have genuinely lost the last single shred of understanding the job design team has for doing anything

Tank sustain is getting buffed 3 ways again (rampart is gaining covalence, 30% bring buffed AND tenacity being buffed)

I didn’t like that E dyskrasia was on SGE because it felt bad as an old SCH main but I could understand the idea that if they were only going to make one healer the DPS healer they wanted to give it to SGE

BUT THEN THEY DONT EVEN DO THAT

genuinely who is designing the support roles, I genuinely didn’t think it could get worse than the media tour but oh boy I was wrong

I was so disappointed when i saw this changed, I WAS really looking foward to sage now im just left with disappointment.

The only explanation I can fathom would be if the JP forums disagreed with us on literally every aspect of this game’s combat.

Hey im glad that tenacity might finally not be a meme stat.

they should show piety some more care though.

Piety just really can’t be made more useful

With MP you just simply don’t need higher MP regen (except in ultimates) so even if they buffed it so piety also increases damage it would just either be weaker than DH/DET and still ignored or equal to the two and become the de facto insertion outside of crit because there is no downside to MP regen even if there is no upside either

Tenacity being buffed actually has upsides because it’s a permanent mitigation buffs to the tanks (because they totally needed more mitigation don’t they), the only reason you currently don’t use it is because its damage increase is weaker than its competition and tanks don’t need more defensives

Noticed players in the JP side of things pushing for both Eurkrasian Dyskrasia to not stack and for Energy Drain on SCH to get axed because it's a "waste of resources".

I'd like to think the devs weren't so biased as to take the few likes the former suggestion got seriously.

I'm sad that this was an oversight on their part.

If this is possible, i'd want it "back" just like media tour.

It was a small extra dps but a simple way to add something more to track to make SGE rotation more engaging.
If it was too much, the loss wouldn't have been drastric.

So here I am, letting the dev know that if they're willing to make it part of the single target rotation, I'm in and I was happy about that.

I would prefer to get it back so I say it.
But ultimately, that's not what they decided to do and if the majority prefer not to, fine, i'll live without it.

But at least, I tried.

What a gigantic fking disappointment... Of course they had to botch it like that... F these devs man...

Nothing surprising, JP is read and heard, the rest of the world can go f themselves. Only japanese players matter. And since they like their garbage 111 gameplay, it's over...

So a what? 16 like post on JP gets to ruin the best healer change of the expac.

I don't think it was because of JP feedback considering how more often than not feedback there isn't listened and the overall reception of the Sge dot has been positive. I think that was their plan to begin with but like many other things on the media tour (such as penuma and toxikon potency) they had an oversight.

Basically its not JP's fault but SE's incompetence, they made a good change by mistake

Just give up on the healer role guys, the developers do not care.

It has to be the worst designed healer role in any MMO I've ever played, and instead of leaving a 40p dps gain second DOT which gave a little bit of complexity back to a healer, they instead stripped it away whilst giving more fun tools to tanks/dps.

Came in here to also chime in that I want them to bring back double dotting in Sage. That was easily the most exciting change for me and the fact that they decided to roll it back makes me really sad. Having E.Dyskrasia stack with E.Dosis along with the implementation of Psyche really felt like they were finally leaning in harder into the job fantasy of Sage being a Healer DPS hybrid and to see them go back on it is really disappointing. I'm just putting my thoughts in this thread as well in hopes that they see it and consider changing it back to allowing them to stack.

That is why I still write it down here that I'd like the second dot to stay.
Now whether they ignore it or don't want to do it is up to them and overall feedback on the matter.

I strongely encourage anyone who share this opinion to do the same.

Energy drain from SCH was gone in SHB and reintroduce later on (examples aren't similar, I know, it's about being heard about something).
I don't think it would be impossible to ask for the second dot to be reintroduce as well.

I was considering playing SGE for DT. But now that the only optimization skill you get is a 60s ogcd, it’s killed any interest in trying it in DT. It’s just more of the same.

I saw that the reason they don’t allow sage dots to stack is because of JP feedback. Reasons like too much of a hassle to keep up, range is too narrow (hello fluid aura from ARR and heavensward), feels clunky, etc. That they prefer brain dead dps rotation so they can focus on healing.

It’s extremely disappointing. But also what healing do they want to focus on?? In current endwalker in top I don’t even use gcd healing till P3 and that’s while the boss is untargetable mind you. And that’s in an ultimate fight. I barely gcd healed anything in top. The only content that surprisingly forced me to gcd heal was criterion savage. No not savage raids and not ultimate.

So again what healing do they want to focus on? Maybe JP healers are just very inefficient. Or at least the vocal ones on their forums. Maybe even dare I say it, bad? Otherwise I must be playing a different game where healing needs to be focused on.

It’s so frustrating that they’re trying to please everyone, the people who want to heal and the people who want to dps, because that just makes no one happy. Pick one instead of wavering in the middle. If you’re going to make HPS requirements pathetic, make most damage instances a mitigation check vs healing check then you need to give me more to my gameplay rotation.

Spamming one button for 99% of the fight isn’t fun and in reality only puts more pressure to push said button because of how much potency is locked behind it. If you’re going to give me pathetic hps requirements to clear fights then give me more offensively to entertain me. Multiple dots with different timers to juggle, multiple cooldowns that give damage or anything.

Or increase the hps requirements so I’m forced to gcd heal. But that would require a lot of damage because our kits are so bloated with OGCD’s that are frankly too powerful.

I personally want to heal and support my team mates. That’s why I play healer. But the state of things is so pathetic and sad. I really miss our kits from a realm reborn, heavensward and stormblood. I just want engaging gameplay be it healing or dps.

Oh don't worry, they're picking someone, it's the third group you didn't mention. It's not the ones that want to dps, and neither the ones that want to heal. It's the ones that want to netflix heal.

THIS WAS LITERALLY MY UNDERSTANDING; like, I thought that they were gonna give SGE old SCH's kit to placate the healers who are tired of spamming 1, cause, y'know, it's the DPS healer? They couldn't even add anything to Kardia. The answer is right in front of them!

I dont quite understand the meaning of non-stackable E Dyskrasia. A good SGE will cast single dots on each mob during wall to wall pulls anyway. A 75 pot dot vs 40 seems like a waste. Yeah sure, you're faster applying the dots with E Dyskrasia, but still... I'd still use the stronger dot anytime if I have the chance to cast it multiple times.

Let's start at 3 targets, three casts. E.Dosis will be 2250, E.Dyskrasia is 1200 and the two additional Dyskrasias are 1020 for a total of 2220. E.Dosis wins there.
Bump up to 4 targets, 4 casts. E.Dosis is 3000, E.Dyskrasia is 1600 and the three Dyskrasias are 1530 for a total of 3130. The Dyskrasia pair pull ahead here.

You'd never use eukrasia dyskrasia anyway, because of its ridiculously small radius, the size of the mobs, the netcode and snapshotting, and as a result, you'd rather E dosis on the move indeed. Truly this spell as it's been changed last minute is a joke. If it had stacked it would have been perfectly fine. E Dosis on the move, E dyskrasia once everything is bundled up.

...what is even more depressing is the blatant disregard of feedback and wishes from non-JP communities, which from what I saw somewhere is a vastly greater number than all of JP combined.

But the moment non-JP does something unexpected or bad, that's the only time they react. It's really heartbreaking how little they care from overseas' feedback. PvE, PvP, doesn't matter, blatant JP bias and favouritism will be upheld.

If the dots aren't going to stack then the aoe dot should, at the very least, be the same potency as the single target dot. Otherwise, what's the point of applying a weaker dot to multiple mobs in an instant, when you could apply a much stronger dot to them over a few casts and get more damage out of it even with the delay of application?

Change the potencies and let the dots stack. please ; ;

Change the duration and let them stack. Give me different timers to juggle

Every cast of E.Dosis is not a cast of something else. By making the two dots perfectly identical, you strip away yet another small chunk of skill required to optimize.
