Please update character creator for 8.0 - Let's go!

I wanted to post this as a show of support and to give some momentum to the concept of updating the character creator next expansion.

I think the time is right to put some serious resources into bringing the creator into modern day, now that the graphical update exists. We could use more face options for all races, or even untie features from the face system entirely. I'd love to see options where Au Ra can choose horns irrespective of faces, or a certain Hyur clan gets eyebrow options...

What would you want to see?

Seperate Au Ra faces from horn shapes
Allow more custom coloring of scales

thats all I'd really want.

Don't forget adding a little junk to our trunks, a la 2B leggings. Even though my WoL's bust size is small, she still looks top heavy when wearing certain bottoms.

My wish for this game would be to unlock all facial features within each race, no longer having specific eyes, noses, mouths, etc tied to certain faces.

I feel like just that by itself would help players create more unique characters.

Off the top of my head, here’s some of the things from my wish list:
- More face options for all races/clans and/or more clans added to the different races
- Ability to choose at least 3 face paints at once
- Option to use in-game dye colors in character creator (for example, I’d like my eyes to be Void Blue)
- All hairstyles available to all characters
- Option to add half-Elezen ears to Hyurs (and could be done with other races ears in general to make half-whatever characters, without the need to change the body models… like have a separate ear/horn tab)

It would be nice to have more slider adjustments for certain features, but I doubt they’d reinvent the wheel this late in the game. I think the above could give us a lot more variety without needing a complete overhaul of the system.

Mixed races would be my first pick but just overall new options would be really appreciated.
Sometimes it feels like NPCs are way more unique and it's us that are generic NPCs in this game not the WoL lol

The ability to toggle removing or keeping hunchback on Hrothgar.

I'd love to have better character customization and a lot more options like fur patterns and beards, but that hunchback is still the most notable annoyance when I'm customizing my character. Hrothgars can look and feel incredibly different in various glamours when they aren't hunched back depending on job animation, emotes, and cposes and it frustrates me a lot to be unable to view this kind of discrepancy until after I finalize the changes.

In almost 4 years? Might as well request for character creator updates during dawntrail instead. Changes to CC shouldn't be always be a request "for next expansion." That's how we make it easy for them like we did with endwalker after they were told they had the best mmo in the market with the ridiculous "wow exodus." That went to their head and we ended up with, objectively, the most boring expansion content wise.

What I'd like to see is, by order of importance:

1. FFXII ears on Viera
2. Hats for Viera and Hrothgar
3. Curly hairstyles
4. Height option increased so that we can make shorter or taller characters

More tail options and ear options for miqo’te :)

More ear styles for viera

More horns and colors for au ra


I dont play these often so perhaps they are doable:
Better ear shapes for elezens, more fantasy elf. Also no more giraffe neck.

a bunch of new faces and body parts is probably to much of an ask, so i'd rather have all the hairstyles available for all races and have all the racial emotes and sprints available, so if you wanna make a midlander lady with a highlanders sprint and emote kit you could, or mix up any other race, it sorta makes sense considering eorzea is just a melting pot of peoples.

No. There should be some uniqueness. I hope this is never considered.

Hair color i beg you squenix.

Give us a spectrum. Or a real rgb picker.
I'm tired of unfun, dull and washed out colors.
Gimme a real red.

My wish list is definitely:

Hairstyle unlock and colour picker
More body types
Emote and voice customization
Multiple make up selection (Having to choose between eye liner and blush makes me weep)

yes pls! an enhsnced character creation. i wanna have that nice au ra face (the kind looking one, dont know which number it is) with different horns
also overall more options are always nice.
how about a third clan, like othard roegadyn?

and also: show the locked hairstyles with where to find them.

take it as a big point for 8.0 and go all out on it

1- separated Au'ra Horns from faces, if Yugiri can, why we cant?
2- more makeup options and be able to select more than one makeup
3- more voices for the races
4- be able to change how is you character personality like the retainers have, i love miqote but i don`t like that every miqo is ''full of energy and exagerated '' on emotes.
5- HAIRSTYLES THAT IS ACTUALLY ADAPTED TO THE RACE, i hate the ear gaps on miqote/viera hairtyles, dont make any sense.
6- option to turn off hairstyle acessories, like a headband or flower on hair, and remove horns from certain au ra exclusive hairstyle, the color of the horns on the hair dont even match the au ra horns.
7- a better color palette on hairstyles, skins and everything that use this.

can we get a muscle slider for more races please!

• Obligatory separate horns from faces for Au Ra
• Obligatory eyebrows for male Highlander
• More tail options for miqote (ie the floofy tail option with a colored tip)
• More ear options for viera (I still want actual floppy/lop bunny ears and not the bent ears we got)
• Ability to color the ear tips of miqo'te/hrothgar/viera independent of hair color and style
• RGB options for hair, eyes, make up and tattoos or more vibrant colors and more color options than we currently have
• Ability to give all races some semblance of racial tattoos on their body
• GIVE. EVERY. RACE. BEARDS. INDEPENDENT OF THEIR FACE
• More long hair styles for both genders (if people can't deal with clipping they can use other options)
• More face options for the other races. Midlander hyur has double everyone else and its high time the other races at least get 2 more
• Ability to mix and match lips/eyes/noses from other faces
• More options for racial features (more face tattoos for duskwight, more fang options for keepers etc etc)

Yes please update it. I would love more presets and makeup options. In a perfect world i would love sliders like in sims 3.

The uniqueness comes with the race not the hair. Having racial locked hairs is just stupid and unrealistic. (Since everyone can wear their hair however they want irl)

I agree there shouldn't be race-specific hairstyles. That's a good addition.
I don't really care if they implement it now or in two years, but I want it to happen :(
I feel like too much body changing would be an issue for current gear/glams so I'd be fine with there not being much more choice in body shape... Although it would be great if there was

I'm using my free login time to support this. Unlock hairstyles for every race, also more face options for your characters.

Actually, 8.0 feels so far away but I will post to support more CC updates for us.

1. Unlock Aura horns from faces
2. Add an option for spots on bun ears based on highlights
3. Add a muscle slider for everyone
4. Bun tails regardless of lore reasons

SE needs do character creator like BDO (black desert online) or something close to it.

I can't believe PSO2 (base or NGS take your poison) has a better character creator than the critically aclaimed mmo, it's impossible to find two players with the same face.
