Please add an option to tip the developers when renewing a sub!

This is such an amazing game with such a friendly community, with developers who actually care. What a gem in the MMO landscape full of P2Ws and developers who don't care! Please give us a way to show some appreciation to the developers! I would be totally happy tipping 20% every time I renew a sub :o

Lmao, the titanmen army rises from the grave again. To address your main point though, if such a system were implemented I highly doubt SE would even give those tips in full to the devs. It wouldn't surprise me at all if corporate SE raked a considerable amount of those tips for themselves.

Also, I remember an article where Mike Ybarra unironically said he'd like to be able to tip games that gave him a really good experience. Was very surreal.

I have to admit, I didnt think a troll could come up with an idea so bad....

but then, could only be worse if we were asked to tip for the troll input on the forums...

If you want to support the devs, buy stuff on the store. Tipping for non-service things is something that should not be encouraged or made normal.

I wish NA business would adopt EU business culture that includes employees being paid a living wage so tipping isn't expected for any job along with sufficient paid time off for employees to get a real break from work to get rested (or get better if ill/injured).

PS: Please don't tip the FFXIV devs even if you want to show more appreciation for their work. Tipping is frequently viewed as insulting in Japan and I suspect our community troll is aware of that.

Only if they also include an Option to tell the devs face to face about the proverbial fly in my metaphorical soup.

Just so you know, it's actually considered rude to tip people in Japan.

The only tip they'll get is the tip of my blade.

Tipping is a horrible business practice that needs to die off and it only provides an excuse for businesses to pay people as little as possible.

Stop botting would be a good start. Devs would thank you I'm sure.
