Today's the earliest expected date for the Benchmark re-release

I honestly doubt it, but that would be awesome if we did get it later today.

If we dont get it tomarrow I dont expect it this week

I wouldn't expect it for another 1-2 weeks, honestly.

The very fact the last 'update' regarding this was just doubling down on how much data they need to shift around, doesn't give me much expectation for a release this week.

I'm not expecting it till next week

The news post said either today or later this week, so today or tomorrow (tho, do they post stuff on weekends???)
Seeing how it is ~2am in tokyo as of this post, I'd say we're gonna need to wait at least until they get back to the office.

I think in the Live Letter they said they pushed it back to about the 30th/31st as the earliest day, but you never know :O Something about lots to change (may not be the correct wording)

The first Dawntrail benchmark came out on a saturday night.

They did bump it back a bit sadly, I'm so giddy to try the new benchmark. Even further improved characters <3

Makes me wonder if they will be even ready with Dawntrail when going live for those that preordered. They should have had the new updated Benchmark out already.

They seem incredibly confident in the progress on DT. YoshiP said they could have released a week earlier if not for Elden Ring. And I don't think they'd be bothering with a new benchmark if it was going to negatively impact the full game. This update really is just a courtesy. They could have just apologized for the lighting, reiterated the free fantasia and fantastia changes, and left it at that.

The time stamp isn't correct but thanks for the date, I kinda totally missed that, too.

Going to bump this :D

Hope we get the new benchmark tomorrow. I am unsure if we will but fingers crossed.

I know he did say it might go past that date but lets hope not.

It's about a month left until DT's launch, hopefully it comes relatively soon.

That's not "incredibly confident", that's "normal". If any significant work is still going on in the last few weeks before release you're pretty much screwed. Especially if you release on consoles. The final build of the game that people will download on release day should already be at sony/ms for validation by now.

Excuse me, Yoshida made my lips 20% less shiny, the game is literally unplayable and I need to make 500 threads about it until DT is delayed.

I thought that was funny. I didn't see a lot of people talking about that, but i wasn't looking that hard.

I also thought it was funny when the face without stubble looked a lot younger even though they are supposed to be exactly the same.

I just hope people remember that its still a BENCHMARK, and there is still a month to go before launch for them to take CONSTRUCTIVE feedback, and bug reports, and fix them.
And also that no matter what, your character is still going to look at least a LITTLE different because it's a graphics update. If it didn't look different, they'd be failing pretty badly.
But I'm sure people will find SOMETHING to explode about. They always do. I have lost all faith in this game's player base.

People should stick to complaining the essentials.

Like it being 5 years with them doing noting to get Viera and Hrothgar fixed regarding hats.

I know first thing I'm doing after logging in on launch day is to make a complaint thread here about Hrothgals not being able to wear hats, despite not having either of the "problems" that Viera (ears) and Hrothguys (posture) had.

They did do some weird changes that were, from what anyone can tell, quite unnecessary (like shapes of eyes and lips) Both my miqo and viera changes drastically (not just a little shine here and there). I think that was the major complaint from the majority. And sure, it should have all been put into one single thread - hopefully people learned from the previous experience and hopefully SE listened to the feedback.

I like how in the digest they just released, they say they'd let us know when they have a solid date for the update, but we have not herd anything, and the dates they were saying during the live letter are here.
So I'm going to assume it's delayed and we wont see it until next week at least. But they could surprise us and just not actually tell us in advance, and we get a notice on the lodestone saying 'here it is' in the next 48h.

I hope they really did correct some the biggest concern we had. Now, let's wait and see until it goes out.

Well it was said that the Benchmark re-release is delayed from 24th to 30th of may. Its still not here so i assume the delayed Benchmark will be delayed again before the next delay. :D

Yeh I think it most likely will be delayed. The lodestone has had a few new posts this morning but nothing mentioning the benchmark but you never know......

It exists so we are announcing it existing

Then announce that it will be announced at a later date

The benchmark re-release will be on 6.28.2024. Please look forward to it.

I'm actually excited for it, I hope it releases this week.
It will help me decide if Au Ra or Bunbun.
