Dawntrail more like Yawntrail but that’s okay!

Dawn could shape up to be the ff14 version of shadowlands but that’s okay lemme explain.

By voicing concerns and criticisms, players can encourage developers to strive for excellence and prioritize the community's enjoyment. Additionally, blindly supporting bad expansions can contribute to a decline in the overall quality of the game and diminish the long-term health of the MMO ecosystem.

We’ve needed a wake up call in the community for awhile now. The worse this expansion is means that our future could look so much brighter.

It’s okay to be negative this community forgets that so often but being negative isn’t inherently bad.

If anything, Endwalker has been the Shadowlands equivalent in FFXIV but honestly, I feel most people that hated on Shadowlands blocked the travesty that was Warlords of Draenor from their minds. I've yet to see anything that would indicate Dawntrail is going to be worse than Endwalker, and I haven't seen any shortage of criticism from the community about how this expansion has been.

Endwalker is carried by a strong start. We need to be awful the entire time.

You know I will, but I’m at work right now, and it’s going to be a long one. One of the biggest problems at this time is communication. It’s often a one way street, but I’ll have to go into that later.

The problem is many of these lessons that they've needed to learn have been on the horizon for a near good 2-3 expansions, so how long is a sufficient enough time for them to learn 2 years, 3? 5? Because you're getting to a point where it isn't a learning issue, but a fundamental disagreement with longstanding players and the developers as to what some of the core philosophies of the game should be.

No amount of learning will overcome exaggerative choices. They wanted to make the game simpler, this was accomplished 6-7 years ago. They want to streamline the game, that's fine, but there's also a point where streamlining is streamlining but just lobotomizing expression for some players.

As of right now, I have only what I see on the forums to go on. I couldn't watch the entirety of the live letter because it started at 4 am, when I should've been in bed asleep already. That's for job actions, though. I still have yet to see anything I think needs to improved upon, but I will say I'd like to see some QoL changes to some of the more minor things. A "repair all" button for equipment would be awesome. I don't just mean for everything you're wearing, I mean everything on your person, in your armory, in your inventory--everything. That's been something I've wished for since the beginning.

When you say communication, do you mean communication from the developers, or communication between players, or what's that imply?

They'll hold you to that, Just cause people expect one person to show proof.

It's better off for the otherside to provide it as well.

Doesn't seem that anyone was gonna make your thread for you, so Provide yours as well.

I mean I feel you and I do have some, but I want it to be well written, which usually I’ll be honest I don’t do because of lack of effort. Also I’m limited by phone battery which is unfortunately dropping fast.

Yeah, I think the more we learn, the more sense it makes to sit this one out. I'm staying hopeful until the detailed tooltips come out myself.

Its going to sell well and the public perception is going to be positive. Like it or not.

I actually liked ew. I was actually thinking about leaving, But 6.1 pvp rework saved the day for me.
