SCH goes NUN MODE so you can wear a white dress even when you're not wearing a white dress, and I will be playing SGE this exp.
Discuss new skills I guess.

It looked like every healer gets some kinda follow-up to the basic GCD filler.
AST gets some sort of horoscopic attack, not sure what it does exactly. It looks like a GCD. Sleeve Draw is BACK baby!
SGE gets a GCD attack we saw in the benchmark, it does not cost Adderstuff, so its not related to Toxikon. Also AoE dot! Eukrasian Dyskrasia!
WHM gets a GCD attack, maybe for mobility and a Gap closer!
SCH gets that deployment mechanic thing we saw in the benchmark. It is not an upgrade to Chain Stratagem. It's its thing apparently.
Oh that's so GROSS!! It looks like it works just like reaper's enshroud. And by that I mean it freaking amputates your racial features when it hides your glam.
WHERE DID HER TAIL GO SE?? WHERE ARE HER EARS KEPT? DO THE JOB TRAINERS HAVE JARS OF PICKLED MIQO'TE TAILS AND VIERA EARS THAT THEY COLLECT??
They need to make these model swaps optional at this point >:T
Okay, looking at the Job Action Trailer again, I can pinpoint a few more things.
WHM
1) Has a new DPS ability (finally). I saw it cast three times in total. This is good, but I sure hope that the ability isn't locked behind a new or existing ability like PoM.
2) Has a gap closer now. Will it only be available after Temperance?
3) Has some sort of follow up to Holy? Not sure.
AST
1) Three cards at once when draw is cast. Not too sure about the change since I did not play AST long. Looks like the left most card is played first, then the right most one, last is the middle.
2) Also has a new DPS ability?
3) No seals. This means Astrodyne is likely gone.
SGE
1) New DPS ability is NOT Toxikon III. Looks like a me and a few others called it.
2) SGE may be getting an AoE DoT. If this is the case, I really hope the new DoT doesn't replace Eukrasian Dosis and the two DoTs just stack.
SCH
I honestly don't know. I haven't played the Job since 4.0 and aside from the new spell that changes SCH into some sort of fairy thing, I'm completely lost on what changed.
I don't care what its name is, I'm calling WHM gap closer "Misery Loves Company"
AST threw their cards without regard to wether the target was melee or ranged. Balance/Spear went on the RDM and Bole on the DRK. Not sure that implies particular role cards are gone.
Did I see 2 oGCDs for SGE, one after a regular cast of dosis and one after phlegma (looks like it has a cd?) ?
After so many years I'll wait for the release to make a judgment but if that's the case, damn, this looks like a good step in the right direction and a lot like the more nervous pvp gameplay.
As usual SCH’s changes are going to be incredibly powerful but boring as hell, a 4th spreadlo amplifier and a second DOT
it’s probably the most boring collective job change but as usual it’s going to make SCH incredibly strong given the only limitation it had on its spreadlo amplification was that 2 of its 3 amplifiers were tied to other effects
Astro is ruined cool. I guess I have zero reason to touch healer now.
The new WHM DPS ability being locked behind PoM is disappointing. It killed my hype a bit.
Will try it again, but this needs to change.
Also, unique cards again?
Astro draws 4 cards every minute.
They always contain: 1 Damage buff, 1 Damage mitigation buff, 1 Healing effect, 1 Damaging effect
That's fine honestly.
Did SGE get a second GCD dot while SCH got a second dot every 2 minutes linked to chained stratagem lmao????
And SCH got a stance connected to the demi-summon??? Time to enjoy picto or viper for an expansion.
Well, seems like leveling SMN to spare myself the healer pain is on the menu again. Sage still what Scholar should be, Scholar gets bent unless you play in a static where everyone's reproduction cycle has synced due to how long you play together.
The SGE DOT that was added is the same one we have now, just an AOE way to apply it, as far as I understand it. Eukrasian Dyskrasia is the stupidest name possible, though, given that the two words mean the exact opposite of one another
Agreed, looks like it's time to consider other roles because 'you get 3 more non Glare GCDs per 2min' is not the WHM change I was looking for, wow we go from 36 Glares per 2min to 33 (and that's assuming that POM didn't actually change our speed, so the numbers should be higher), thank you so much SE very impactful changes (this is sarcasm)
WHM
• They're getting a new ability to move forward quickly
• They're getting a new AoE attack they can executed three times after using Presence of Mind.
• Tetra is getting a charge. (Not on slide but was said aloud)
SCH
• Seraphism will change the users appearance and enhance their healing spells
• They're getting a new AoE DoT after Chain Strategem.
• They will get a trait that will reduce Restitution's cooldown (not shown of slide but was said a loud).
AST
• Card draws will no longer be random, with the user now drawing three cards at a time every 60 seconds. (The translate kept switching between 3 and 4) *EDIT: You will draw 3 normal cards and 1 Minor Arcana Card.*
• You will draw an offensive card, a defensive card, and a healing card. There will be three/four cards in each category and each card will have its own effect. (Again, the translate kept switching between 3 and 4 cards)
• Cards will emphasize using the right card in the right situation.
• From what I could tell from the action trailer: Balance and Spear are Offensive cards (given to RDM), Arrow and Bole are defensive (given to DRK), and Spire and Ewer are curative (used on themself).
• Astrosigns and Astrodyne have been removed.
• Sleeve Draw is back (shown in job action trailer)
SGE
• Euraksia will now enhance Dykrasia II into Euraksia Dykrasia, an AoE DoT.
• They're getting a new party buff will heal partymembers whenever the user casts a spell. They link it to an AoE version of Kardia that isn't constant.
• They're getting a trait(s) that will the recast time of Taurocholi and increase Kardia's potency. (Said not shown on slide)
Personally, I don't get why SCH had to turn into an angle when WHM already had Temperance (and SGE having Icarus to a lesser extent). It's seems like they're hellbent on making all the healers be holy and light themed. (´-ι_-`)
I guess Ast will be even more dull in normal content now, as I can't even fiddle with cards duing my 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 spam.
Also having to transform into a whitemage for scholar is such a huge turn off, it legit makes me not wanna play it. It will probably be a overbloated CD, you never use outside savage anyway, so its probably fine
I like how they made the portraits take more room so there was only space for the swiftcast role action (only because it's shared with casters is my guess)
I also like how there was a comment on tanks getting additional effects. Of course, this time it will be real, not like when it was said for the healers AoEs.
Tbf, it was gone by Shadowbringers. All cards did is essentially a damage buff. The only RNG was whether it was ranged or melee. At least now we have choices on how to utilize card effects. Though I was hoping for a bit more indepth utilization on cards.
SGE got AoE Kardia, faster Soteria recast, Eukrasian Dykrasia AoE DoT. These are good changes. It feels a bit plain compared to other job changes because this was supposed to be a given for the core design of the job, so it doesn't feel like anything 'new' was added, just more cohesive in design as a DPS healer. I think so far it has the best QoL for identity.
SCH got transformation wings and an attack after using Chain Strategem (120s). The cooldown seems really long for a new attack skill. The transformation idea is good but it feels a bit off design-wise. The tail of the job action trailer seems to disappear so it feels like racial features got removed instead of combined. With the way they kept on using Emergency Tactics (cooldown possibly removed?) I wonder if there's a bunch of skills that are now affected by Emergency Tactics.
WHM has one skill that allows 3 AoE hits after using PoM (so 3 attacks every 120s), as well as a dash. Though I find it slightly funny how they gave PLD's atonement 3 different animations on the same skill in contrast to make it feel less samey.
Hmm... these changes seem alright, but it feels lackluster. I'm slightly worried about the healing agency for healers. All other roles have stronger mitigations, but nothing was mentioned on the healer's side regarding mitigation, which could be a bit problematic since healers are in charge of 'survival' but you can't help people survive if others don't mitigate, unless they increase damage but not make raidwides and attacks just one-strong hit but frequent and consistent hits. Let's hope healers have enough to heal to stay engaged in healing so it doesn't feel like Broil x150.
Consider that we have seen a couple of spells in the Trailer that didn't get explained in the Liveletter:
https://i.ibb.co/LQpRFzR/FINAL-FANTA...ob-Actions.gif
This instant cast GCD which seems like an offensive action. (Considering the fact that SCH and WHM get offensive skills tied to their use of 2min CDs, I imagine this one is tied to Divination.)
And
https://i.ibb.co/Hq4MSLK/FINAL-FANTA...-Actions-1.gif
This other instant cast GCD which seems like an AoE healing/support action given it seems to apply on allies.
I wonder what the last spell is in the WHM section of the new job video. I assume the 3 stack AoE is the attacks at 11:54, 12:07 and 12:15. The last spell at 12:22 has a similar visual theme, but the enemy doesn't respond so it's not an attack. It looks like an instant (ogcd?) support spell.
AST & WHM getting upgrades (presumably) to Medica 2/Aspected Helios is laughably bad when GCD healing is already sparse in most content of the game outside prog. They can make it as pretty as they want, why would I press the button when I have 10 OGCD's between myself and my co-healer to first use?
I'm guessing the first AST skill above is a finisher to divination, and the second the Level 100 spell which will probably be an OGCD healing tool, since they seem to think we need more.
