Disconnected from game every 1-2 minutes

Since connecting to FFXIV this morning, 05/06/2024 at 0800 Central time (1300 UTC), I am being disconnected from the game after being in-game for only a minute or two. When I try to reconnect, I am frequently (not every time) getting the "lobby server" error 90001.

I have checked my internet, my router/modem, my VPN, and my computer. None of those are the issue. I have ZERO problems with any other internet game, browsing, streaming, Discord, or voice chat. The only issue is FFXIV connectivity.

I believe this is a widespread problem, based on contact with friends. Thanks for anything you can do. I know there's maintenance tonight and perhaps that will correct this issue.

I neglected to include my server in the above post - this is happening on Famfrit.

I'm having the same issues,as well and I play on Midgardsormr.

It is persistent. Over on Coeurl, the final step in my MIN relic grind on my main is brought to a standstill because of this DDoS attack on the NA servers.

Can confirm. This is happening on Crystal as well. Server is Mateus and Balmung.

Siren isn't immune, either. I very rarely DC and it's usually because of power or connectivity on my end when it happens. DCed this morning 3 times now within minutes after logging in. Hope they find the fools doing the DDOS and get them taken care of.

Hope they find the fools and send large jolts of electricity through them.

same with my fellow free company members then a 300+ 800 ish queue
wasnt doing anything like being in duty roulette just listening to music in my inn room(and petting a certain chicken boi wind up)
then a 2002 error

please do something about the disconnections:( cannot run any dungeon party members getting disconnected and on top of it long queues. PLEASE DO AN EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLAY.

I do think that SE is doing what they can, but stopping a DDOS attack is not a quick or easy thing to do.

hmm well i could log in on zodiark light eu only queue i was in had 16 other players for now
so i guess they are fixing it?
nope 90002 error and another queue of 500+
and yes figured out its a ddos attack from the very first dc+saw the ddos post

There's been constant lag the past few days during EU evenings and today it's simply unplayable since it reaches actual disconnects while in duties.

People manage to find the forums, the right section, to post, but can't find the SE post eveywhere about the current DDOS attack, and players won't give more infos than SE on theyr official posts :rolleyes:

I've already counted today as a loss. Plus server maintenance will be starting in less than 6 hours from today. If you're planning on doing activities as simple as dailies (instanced content) you're pretty much screwed today...It's messed up! I tried voyaging to Oceania from Aether....they're on the same boat as NA I believe...:rolleyes:

You will survive it, don't worry
DDOS are supposed to be mean and to annoy people, so don't give them what they want, don't be annoyed, it's just one or a few evenings to go through doing something else
I say maybe a few evenings because we used to have big DDOS attacks that remained us from playing for two months, every evening, at raid times, and noone can't do anything about it except SE doing its best as always, so we all gotta be patient

Why do you think there's an ETA? First they have to figure out what's being done this time and find a way to stop it.... DDOS attacks arent' easy to stop. OR u think the attackers messaged SE and told em they would stop at a certain time? lol

And it is happening again.... On EU servers too. Same as last time I was on, 2 days ago

Okay this REALLY has to STOP. I almost finished Abyssal Fracture, just a little HP of the boss left and we got disconnected ._.

this evening must have yet another bunch of ddosers(mere speculation or its real i cant tell)
just disconnected to log in back with a queue of 223 people
well i mean because the error is 90002 and the next queue is with other 681 people

on light eu zodiark server i just got two disconnects in a row same with my FC members
when i cant listen to music in a inn room with my main i wont be able to stay logged in on one of my alts or last one still in msq i guess

Wouldn't we all just wish they would be obliterated from the planet. Sadly there is no way of doing so and more of this childish filth is born every day who will eventually start doing this as well ._.

I got thrown out enough to decide to go to Baldur's Gate 3 instead.

Actual DCs are rare but ever since the DDoS that we're getting massive lags and it's unbearable to play during EU evening times
