Im going to be toxic and throw in salut
Unfortunately I don't think the filter will apply to party chat.
I don't think I have to worry about 3 day old fake bot accounts not seeing my words in party chat.
I'm filtering every word involving tank stance and running dungeons without it
I'm not sure how to post pictures, but I was basing this off of what I read from the picture about the term filter.
It says, "Applies to Say, Tell, Yell, Shout and /emote in all circumstances, including duties. (Will not apply to linkshell, cross-world linkshell, party, or free company chat)
I do think the blacklisting thing is universal, though, but it's weird that the term filter doesn't seem to be the same.
Praise be to the new chat filters.
Goodbye "Meowdy"! I will miss you... NOT!
I never saw meowdy that often. If I knew people hated it so much I'd have used it. Ah well
You have 10 slots for filtering words..
MEOWDY can be written in a way to by pass them..
Ex: M eowdy, Me owdy, Meowdie..
You think you've escaped but the cats will adapt lol
Meowdy o/
I dont know i think its charming and/or cute.
Meowdy Pawdner
Méowdy, mèowdy ...
You can easily oversaturate the filter.
Cheers
Meowdy, Meowning, Meowsmas, Meowsie, Meowcome, Meowvening, Meowlo, Meowtastic.
Have fun mixing and matching those with acute accents and miau variants.

I'm not worried. Filter away, big guy. I've never met a Fisher in an instance that said, well, anything at all.
You just took it to the next level.

Those are harmless. I'm more happy to block: "twitch", "stream", "youtube", "DJ", "gamba", "courts/courtesans", "bar", "raffle"
My limsa gonna be quiet af
I didn't even think of adding Meowdy into the filter! Oh happy day!
The interesting part is, "Meowdy" seems to be an NA thing. On EU i see it maybe 2 times in a year in the chat.
Cheers
I've never really been bothered by it.
Where is this mostly used? Because I swear I never see it
I've only seen it once in a DF roulette. (EU)
This is about to backfire on people in the most hilarious way.
If a party member says a blocked word, the game will notify you to ask if you want to show the message
You’re either going to know that the word is Meowdy from context alone (the start of a roulette) and so the notification itself becomes associated with the word, or you’re going to forget it, get curious, reveal the message, and subject yourself to it.
The notes have also not said how obvious the notification is going to be, it’s possible that you’ve just made it so that you can’t ignore the word’s existence AT ALL.
Congrats, you played yourself purrtner
Not how it works.

Display of Filtered Terms
The Term Filter can be applied to hide the display of registered words in one of two ways:
Display the applicable term filter's number.
A system message will be displayed, indicating the term filter applied to the chat log. (e.g. "Message could not be displayed due to Term Filter 1.")
Hide the affected message in its entirety.
Messages containing a registered word will be completely hidden.
<sarcasm>Woohoo! Now I can get rid of the phrase "git gud" permanently.</sarcasm>
