I'm scared the benchmark gonna run like a slug on my i5 10400F and GTX 1060 6GB lol
I'm both excited and depressed. Excited to see the updated character graphics and Hrothgals, depressed because I know my current pc won't pass even minimum requirements.
I'm looking forward to trying out the new Derplander hairstyle on my Roegadyn
Recently upgraded my rig. Can't wait to test it on 13900K + 48GB DDR5-8000 + RTX 4080.
Since computer parts are stupidly expensive, mainly GPU in my country, I will see if my ol reliable GTX 1050 can still handle it before purchasing anything.
The Show Your Hrothgar thread is about to erupt back onto the front page.
I'll be using the Benchmark to decide what my new computer will be. If my spouse's computer (Core i7-13700K, 32GB DDR5, RTX 3070) handles the benchmark well, I'll probably build a duplicate of that system as my new system. OTOH, if we need to upgrade my spouse's GPU, my new system will get the upgrade as well, even though we have different displays (I have a 32" 4K 60Hz GSync primary display, my spouse has a 45" 3440x1440 240Hz GSync OLED primary).
a 3070 should be MORE then enough. Especially with a 13th gen processor. I only have an 11th gen processor and a 3060 and I'm 100% confident I will be able to run it at 1440p at max settings with decent FPS. I might upgrade my system if I see others able to run really high fps (120+) without the issues the game used to have at high fps, but I don't think it's going to be needed at all considering even the recommended requirements are several generations behind.
I'm just using it for CC, my current rig will handle the recommended specs they put out and I'm upgrading my CPU to a 5800X3D before the release anyways.
this will be my first time actually running a benchmark since its the first time i'm interested in it. how does it work? are all 7.0 graphic options available or does it just run on maximum?
and if i'm remembering correctly i'm gonna get some number in the end? will we get values to compare our result to or how do know how good our result is?
then the female hrothgar... will we be able to save it in the 40 character design slots we've already or is it just to play around with?
You can adjust graphics settings to see how it will run how you plan to run it.
Character creation will save to you slots. If you wanted, you could make your Hrothgal now, pop a fantastia and unequip all your gear before logging out before the 48 hour maintenance, and then change your character as you log into Dawntrail for the first time.
Crank it up to Maximum with resolution settings that fits your monitor. Hit Esc and reduce quality preset if performance is bad.
Benchmark most likely will be on this page:

About 5 hours left from this post.
Still very good setup. Depending on monitor resolution, should be plenty of performance. This game got some performance bump from RAM speed. Crank it up if you can.
I picked it up for PS5, so if my 1070 and i5-4670k for some insane reason actually play the game I'm going to be slightly annoyed.
I can't wait. All the upgrades on my PC have come to this point, now it's time they are tested by the upgraded Warrior of Light Trial, Extreme Savage.
I9-12900k+32gb DDR5 + RTX 2060(Will be upgraded to 3k or 4k series end of the year. 2060 will go to my sons build. :D)
Downloading, EZ
I'm not sure if this was only me but just in case anyone else thinks the link is wrong: the benchmark download site looks like the EW one (I'm guessing it just hasn't been updated yet?), but once you click on download "EW" then it switches to the DT site.
likely a issue on your end.
my site changed to DT on the minute before.
Couldn't tell you what specific is the case though.
edit:
So far so good, Maybe the lighting alil in the eyes is throwing me off. but it's really just getting used to all the new effects.
So far got a standard Extremely high. but cannot tell if that's best, average or worse for me.
Since it isn't on the same drive as I have the full game on.
enlightening as much as it can be though.
Moving the results to the other post...
