Has anyone still not received their preorder codes?

I was unable to log into my account when Dawntrail was dropped, so I bought the game as a guest via credit card. I got my order's confirmation email, but no preorder code with it. Am I screwed because I didn't buy the game while logged in? I've been waiting on a reply back from support since 3/28. I'm really nervous that I won't get my code at all. Is anyone else having this problem?

It’s still holiday, you’ll probably get a reply tomorrow.

You have 2 and a half months to figure it out with their support worst case scenario. I'm sure you'll have your code well before launch.

are you mixing things up?
because you don't get the full game preorder code till closer to release but they give you the Early access code and preoder bonuses(earring+zidane minion) right away

I did the same thing as you did and checked out as guest. I received the "immediate" bonus code for the earring and Zidane minion the next day. Per the support site, if you haven't received the bonus code after 48 hours of your order being confirmed, then contact support.

If you were expecting the actual game code for Dawntrail you will not get that until just before the early access day in June.

I'm stressing the fact that it's the bonus code that you will only receive this far out from release. You weren't clear in your original post about which code you are after.

There will be 2 different codes related to the pre-order.

The first code is the bonus item code. It should have been sent to you in an email by now as long as your credit card has been charged for the pre-order. You're not screwed as such but it will be more difficult to resolve any problems since you ordered as a guest instead of ordering while logged into your account. Make certain to keep your email confirmation in a safe place.

The delay in response isn't surprising since this was a holiday weekend. If you don't get a response today, try contacting Customer Support again tomorrow.

The second code will be the actual game key. Those will not be available until the official release date. Your bonus item code (once you're able to register it to your account) will give you access to Dawntrail during Early Access and for approximately a week after the official launch. After that, you will not have access to Dawntrail until the game key is registered to your account. SE will post a notice on the Lodestone at the official launch with instructions on registering the game key for those who pre-ordered.

I received mine instantly and got the items instantly after entering the code on the site.

I can confirm you do not need to be logged in. This is because the Square Enix store has no relation to your Mogstation account. They are separate accounts. It is also possible to get preorder codes from other retailers such as Amazon - because this was how I got Shadowbringers.

I did mean the code that gives you the minion and earring. My friends have been referring to both universally as "preorder code," but I'm aware there are differences between the two. Sorry for the confusion, I didn't think anything of it before making the thread.

It is the bonus code I haven't received yet, just to clarify. I didn't expect a response over a holiday weekend, it just makes me nervous that everyone I know (all used their account to order) received their bonus codes the same day while I've been waiting. I'll contact support again sometime this week if I don't hear back in a day or two. Just wanted to gauge if any others were still waiting is all.

I see folks talking about receiving codes for the pre-order bonuses via email; does that apply to PS5 and PS4 pre-orders as well as PC ones? I'm used to PS5 pre-orders just giving you the stuff without any need for codes (though maybe FF14 is different, it's been a hot minute since Endwalker) and I want to make sure I have my ducks in a row before making a support ticket.

Usually FFXIV codes need to be entered via the mogstation. In some cases, platforms like Steam show the codes in a menu somewhere, but that is likely the game and expansion codes rather than preorder codes.

If there are special differences for Playstation then I don’t know.

My friends who play on Playstation say that they just bought the expansion and the pre-order items showed up in their in-game inboxes. If that didn't happen for you, you should first make sure your purchase went through and if it did, contact SE support for help.

There are no codes needed for PS4/PS5. You buy off the Playstation store, then the next time you open the game, you'll be asked to apply the purchase to your square enix account. Then it's done. ezpz

My order was the standard edition through square enix EU store while being logged in(don't know if this changes anything)
I received the confirmation email with my order and then after 3 minutes the email with the code which has
Wind-up Zidane Minion
Azeyma's Earrings (including 30% EXP bonus up to level 90*)
Early access to Dawntrail

The actual game code will be sent with a separate email a few days before release and you will have to redeem it before the release in order to maintain access to Dawntrail

PlayStation is different. IIRC, everything is automatic because your SE account is married to your PSN. I haven't been on PlayStation since ShB, but that's one advantage of console.

Have you checked your spam folder? Outlook's was really aggressive and scrapped mine because it came right after the purchase email.

Yeah, the SE emails ended up in a random, not inbox, folder in my gmail as well, was weird to see. That being said it still took a day for me to get my codes after I pre-ordered which was a bit odd, not that it really mattered. Had friends get theirs instantly and other stuck waiting like I was.

On console it automatically applied, you just have to quit the game (if it was running when you pre-ordered on PSN / MS Store) to apply the license to your account.

I ordered DT as a guest and payed via Paypal. May preorder bonus code came 11 hours later via e-mail. :)

And if you buy DT in Steam then you will not get any e-mail with bonus codes. You have to retrieve the code from Steam.

Under "CD-Keys".

You should get your pre-order items code (The Earring and Wind-Up Zidane) when you pre-order.

But you won't get the code for the expansion itself until June 28th when the "early access" starts.

And then on July 2nd when the proper release comes, any codes for Digital Collectors edition should come.

Yeah, the gmail filtering still needs some work. It seems to think my electric bills should be tossed in the "Updates" folder instead of main.

I don't use Outlook, but I did check every folder in my email. Nothing anywhere. :( I'm really worried. It doesn't seem like anyone else has been waiting as long as I have.

Edit: Speak of the devil, bonus code finally obtained! Crisis averted. I do hope that anyone else experiencing a delay receives their codes soon, though.
