but breaking news, no delay for 1.23 /o/

I'm really looking forward to the new RSE for 2.0. I wonder how they will implement it. Will our characters start off with the gear or be able to craft it? Guess we will have to wait and see. 2.0 is starting to get close.

Makes me think they've been working on this "skirmish" thing for quite awhile.

Of course, I'm fully anticipating a "due to technical issues, the release of Skirmish will be delayed until patch 1.23a. We apologize for any inconvenience." ^_^

I can't wait to see those of the other races. But I'm more looking forward to the wave of new info in august. Hoping to finally catch glimpses of the missing gender races and possible new race. I want to see female roegadyns and highlanders!

Also, I have to say that Yoshi's french during the presentation was very well. I honestly thought for a moment that the man knew french or that someone else was speaking in his stead.

Besides that nothing really new. I'm surprised that we're at 31 producer letters! Has it been that long?

The patch can still get delayed. He didn't say any definite. Though, judging from recent patches, it seem like their aim is to always release patches on time (or at least as close as possible) and rather delay certain content to lettered patches, which is fine by me.

I don't mind these letters that don't have much info about the game, but I wish they weren't so stingy with artwork/screenshots. Like, would it hurt to show us the RSE artwork for the other races for instance?

Cant they find better models to cosplay.

Yea they look like mug shots lol pretty bleh they could have done better but oh well its the artwork that counts :)

I want to see the female roegadyn rse :) I wonder if they will give the races new terms instead of having to say male miqote or female roegadyn lol

It’s really beginning to feel like the start of summer over here in Japan. We’re seeing some days get up to around 30°C (that’s about 86°F, in case you were wondering). How are all of you holding up? Hm? What about me? Thanks for asking! I’ve been keeping an eye on the FFXIV update, going to a bunch of version 2.0 design meetings, holding a mess of interviews, heading overseas for global PR and more meetings... I gotta be honest, all the different time zones and climates are wreaking havoc on mah circadian rhythms!

I also had the honor of attending Japan Expo 2012 in France the other day. I was a first-timer there, and was absolutely blown away by the level of excitement, just like I’d been told I would be. I have to say thanks to all of the passionate fans for the energy they gave me!

If it's like XI's RSE you'll start off with RSE (level) and can get another set of it that is quested. Since crafting has a higher purpose in this game as it's class based, it's possible there will be a crafted set as well as starter set.

Yeah I hope its more like in ffxi. IIRC you could also buy your starter RSE back from your races main nation. i.e. Hume could rebuy their start RSE in bastok. And i loved the concept of a higher level set. I still remember going to get mine in ffxi. I figure since new characters will probably start with their RSE (if thats how they decide to do it and i think i recall reading thats how they will) it wont be the only way to get the set. I'm sure they will have another way for the higher lv players to acquire it. Or at least I really hope so lol.

That beginner's RSE set looks better than most end game gear.

Glad to hear things are staying on track. My guess is the date for the patch will be the 25th/26th.

Can't wait to see how big the moon gets.

Also, it would be nice if the people of Eorzea would finally start to notice that THE MOON IS CRASHING INTO THE PLANET.

To be honest I doubt they'll push back the patch the worse case is they'll release less content in 1.23a and then next week they'll release 1.23b. Since this event is pretty time sensitive if they release it to late then the time people have to complete certain parts will be less then intended.

If I'm correct CJ is around the 26th or 29th, which is about when we'd get patch 1.23 anyway, so probably won't get much info since that's getting closer to "the flood".
