Can Revenant's Toll get an airship landing, please?

The Garlean presence in Eorzea is dealt with, really, by the end of Stormblood. Definitely, by the end of Endwalker. That was the lore reason to explain why the Toll doesn't have airships in and out. So, can we make like post-HW Ishgard and get a route there from each of the airship cities now? It'd be very convenient, and potentially cheaper than teleporting.

Also, just pointing out that the infrastructure for it is practically already there with that bridge to a closed off tower we can access on the upper level. It seems like you guys are/were planning one. Turn it on, please?

I would like an airship to Ala Mhigo, purely for RP reasons. We have it to most other city states.

Revenant's Toll not having a commercial airship route wasn't just because of the Garlean risk, but because the town itself is really just a glorified aetheryte camp/hamlet that has grown up, it's not an actual 'real' city, as in a citystate or nation (I still remember how it was at ARR's launch where it was literally just a few tents and a couple of single storey buildings around the aetheryte). It might have grown in importance, but it's still fundamentally just a settlement around an aetheryte out in the boondocks, and not 'important' enough for Highwind Skyways to bother running Bronco-class flights out to it.

Ala Mhigo has a better chance of getting an airship route, although that has the problem of it's actual airship docks being destroyed (it's what the battleground for the Royal Menegaerie actually was, until Zenos wearing his new Shinryu suit trashed it) so that could be tricky. Also again Ala Mhigo isn't even an actual 'city' as far as gameplay is concerned (Rhalgr's Reach taking it's place in Gyr Abania gameplay wise) so an airship route to that is far more likely.

But, alas it seems SE just isn't interested in such a thing so I'm not holding my breath.

It's not really a city tho but an encampment. If anything. We need an Aetheryte in Vesper Bay

Was there anything but like some tent stuff in 1.0? It's been so long, all I can remember now was how great it was to miss one of the narrow passes to the other side lol.

1.0 Camp Revenant's Toll was just like every other aetheryte camp in Eorzea at that time, a couple of tents surrounding the aetheryte and some silly little fences that didn't keep out anything... and nothing else.

In fact, the original Camp Revenant's Toll still exists a little outside the current Revenant's Toll, it's that crystallized mass that occurred after the original aetheryte exploded during the Calamity, hence the camp was abandoned and moved further up the hill after the Calamity.

The current town kind of grew up around that accordingly.

Jeez....can't open teleport menu? Gotta travel on foot for longer and take an airship to a place that still has a garlean base to the west. Midgardsormr wrapped around an old airship not to mention the sheer amount of aether in the air from the 7th umbral calamity that's still present and the large crystals.

Wish we kept the seamless zone bit, but I totally understand that it wasn't a good situation to be in and the ARR zones looked quite good.

Personally don't see anything wrong with adding an NPC to the area at this point, which for lore is like a point in MSQ where it is not really helpful to have there anymore.. such you could put an achievement for riding it and I feel like you'd have a new 1%'er achievement lol. On the other hand if people feel it's just messing with the mental RP... I like RP (have a whole thread on it lol) and so I respect that angle.

Note: In all honesty I don't think the Ironworks is a "brick and mortar" company anyways; it's more Cid living out his best vanlife working wherever he's needed via his personal airship, and the people themselves that are the Ironworks.

But, that said, they do have a main office we keep going back to, in Mor Dhona, regardless of how meager it may seem to us when we visit.

When most quests say "go talk to dudes from Ironworks" and that points you to either Mor Dhona or Rhalgar's and NOT somewhere in say, Ul'dah..it's not rocket science to extrapolate where their head office is, or where their more senior members take residence.

Give us a damn aetheryte in the Dravanian Hinterlands too. Surely the Goblins can build one post-Heavensward MSQ or something.

It was only the one on the left that got trashed. The other landing area is 100% fine, as is the long ass bridge that goes out to those wonders of architecture.

Haha, yeah, you're right!

As for how Ala Mhigo ended up with such architectural wonders, there was an old bit of 1.0 lore that stated that Ala Mhigo was "the most technologically advanced of the six Eorzean citystates", yes, even more advanced than New Sharlayan, and with a ready supply of high quality stone at hand... Desperation also would have played a part, with Gyr Abania being so arid and the area around Loch Seld especially being so downright inhospitable, you'd want your new home to be able to withstand the harsh environment (being built right on top of an earlier city also helped too).

But yeah... something something "we have resources"....
