Add Meister Emotes to the Store!

I think anyone would agree that the statues are worth buying without them, there's no reason to make these amazing emotes so exclusive. Scalpers are going to buy all of them the second the pre-order starts, no matter what. So just make money on the emotes! You can delay their release, but sell them on the online store! It's an easy, logical decision to make, and the shareholders will thank you.

At this point it seems like Square Enix hates money. Anyone agree?

Or at the very least, make the emotes available for purchase after the statues are no longer available… still wish I could get the Shiva Diamond dust emote!

It's a double-edged sword. On the one hand, SE loves money. The cash shop is proof of that. But on the other hand, the ridiculous price of the statues coupled with how limited they're gives the owner a precived level of prestige. They have this emote because they spent x amount of money and you didn't. Simply selling the emotes on the cash shop damages that veneer of prestige.

In saying that I agree with you because I absolutely hate Fomo and I think less of companies that practices it as I see it as a predatory behavior, but I see it going over like a lead balloon with the crazy stupid amounts of money statue crowd. This issue hasn't made people quit en masse, so it's not a big deal to them. Ergo, the silence.

$200 would be a bit high for me… lol I’d probably pay $50 though!

They still will. Plus, it's a really bad look for SE. Also, I don't see $200 emotes selling. And if they do, you don't want to see the next level of capitalistic greed you've just greenlit. I'd normally wave it off, but all these corporations want is more and more money for less and less. And at every turn when people are complacent thats when they(corporations) will start charging for things that were before free or a given. Because more money is never enough.

I'd rather both stop. Both the statues and the emotes, but I don't have that kind of power or pull. Hell, I'd remove the cash shop completely and make everything earnable in the game in perpetuity. Both premium items and pvp fomo. But we've accepted that level of corporate greed as sacrosanct, so what can we do? Not buy it? As the rest of us sheep (I'm including myself since my morals aren't as concrete as what I would want) froth at the mouth over it. Cruze chaser comes to mind. People were literally trying to boycott it. Then you did a hunt train and saw hundreds of them. Really showing them...

the emotes are a hook to make you buy the figure. they will never add them because nobody would buy the meagre miester quality figures

Some people buy the statue for the code, then try to sell off the statue. There are even some listings for the various statues on ebay that list that they don't come with the code.

This will never happen. Let's face it, the statues are always garbage and are just a ploy to sell a $400 emote. If they tried to sell the emote for that price, or even half or quarter, most people would frikkin riot. News websites/videos would go on and on about "Greedy Sqaure-Enix selling $400 emote in their subscription game!" SquareEnix is pretty greedy, but even they aren't that greedy.

Look at how broken this community is, begging for the "opportunity" to spend more money on the game they already bought and subbed monthly for, and are preparing to buy an expansion for in a few months.
These emotes should be tied to completion of the content they're actually referencing, purely in game. But we'll never have that, because we need something to make the whales feel unique. Notice how many of these emotes involve floating. They're literally buying the ability to look down on others. You'd expect this crap in a f2p kmmo with a gacha system.

I know it's hard when the whole industry is like this now, but please try to demand better. If you start bargaining from such a low point, you'll never get anything good.

Added to the store? No. Not for any 'prestige', but because these things should be obtainable in the game.

A great many things should be account-wide and not limited to a single player. The few account-wide things we do have shouldn't be only from the store or statues.

I very much appreciate the Omega emotes being account-wide, but I would much rather they be behind some sort of content that takes effort to complete. Maybe have New fights (that aren't Ultimates, but similarly can't be unsynced) specifically related to these emotes, giving you an achievement and the emote as an account-wide reward. Or go the easy route of having them be rewards for synced/MINE clears of their relevant extremes/savages, but this feels boring (and 'too easy').

First, they should be obtainable in-game but that's a whole different issue.

They should at a minimum absolutely make the emotes available for purchase separated from the statue some time after the physical item's run has concluded, this also should be the norm for digital bonuses tied to other old merch that is no longer produced. I wouldn't blink an eye if my soundtrack-exclusive minions became available again later, I wanted the blu-ray that's why I bought it. And I know the meme of buying an emote with a bonus statue has propogated enough that the brainrot has taken root by now, but we all know SE would make more money selling the emotes in perpetuity as standalone purchases than they do from overall purchases of limited time and (up for personal debate) overpriced statues.

And for people that get hung up on muh exclusivity, you got to have the emote/minion/orchestrion/etc YEARS before others did and got some nice actually limited good(s) that after a certain amount of time fewer and fewer of which will exist in the real world at all, get some help.
