Stop asking for new races

We have two races that lack full hair and gear support, they need to focus on making them fully compatible and up to date before even conceiving of additional races.

I said that before we got male bunnies. I'll still say it after we get lion ladies. Their lazy sidestepping needs to stop. It only makes them look bad.

Alright, I'll stop asking for new races.

And instead, I'll ask that the next new race works as it should right out of the box!

This is acceptable, so long as it comes after the existing races get patched together

Oh have fun with this one. Yoshida literally said how making the new races fucked up their scheduling and how it's hard for them to do, but since he opened pandoras box with his recent staement people are gonna run it into the ground until we're back at square one and the dev situation is messed up. Again.

Also I would like to remind people of how people in the English Speaking community threatend physical harm and a similar situation to kyoto anime if bun bois werent put into XIV.

Or, they can give us a smol bestial race to accomplish 2 things

1. we'll have a non potato based small character option
2. It will complete the set of characters with unique hat challenges.

However the whole hat issue might become moot depending on what exactly is being done with this graphical update as it could include a modeling overhaul that removes the need to have an individual copy of an item for every race/gender combo in the game.

They can view our feedback and then just keep it on the backburner until they finish what they're currently working on. If they can't even do that, then it's their own problem, not ours.
Nobody paying monthly for a game service should feel barred from saying "it would be nice if we got X sometime" just because the devs are slow to finish what they start.

We need new waifu races to thin out the current waifu population. Something make us catgirls want to play something aside a catgirl.

You can blame whoever you want for whatever you want, go for it, but at the end of the day if somebody in charge believes new races will be a profit gain, then it's always on the table. That's just how it works.

New races are technically always profitable. The problem is that they consume so many resources that they are causing other parts of the game to become less profitable as a consequence. Look at it this way. More Races = Less Content. More Content = Less Races. It's a pick your poison situation.

I really don't know why Yoshida left the door open for new races – basically encouraged people to come and beat the door down – when he previously explained at length that additional races were an unreasonable drain on their schedule.

Maybe their model updates and standardisation have made it easier to adapt things in future, but it just seems a strange change of heart after all this drama.

That could be part of it. If the player character sprite system is rebuilt so that they only need to make 1 file for a piece of gear instead of 16 after the addition of femhroth, they'd have effectively cut a substantial amount of race related work out of the production process for both the initial addition of a new race and also for future content updates as new gear is added.
