Will luminary tools scale with cap raise?

Wondering if the Luminary tools will scale up with level cap raise or if there will be someone to upgrade them? Some of the tools take a lot of work to get and it would be a shame if they become worthless after cap raise. Would like to see a dev comment in about this.

same for relics. granted they will be easier to get when cap goes up but they wont be nearly as hard to get i would imagine.

It'll be time consuming if they follow the same route. Grade 6 nodes 6k cuts each 3 main regions 18k cuts, 144 cuts an hour maybe, 125.5hrs, nearly 5 days of just cutting lol. Which is just a tad shorter then the objective to get all the work done from 1-5 in all 3 regions, 21960, 152.5 hrs, 6.3 days worth of cuts lol. Maybe it'll be quicker with changes made to DOL/DOH but it'll definitely be a tedious task to get the upgrade lol.

DOH synths might be 6k for 51-60 or 51-55 based on how high lv cap is increased. If it's just 51-55 then perhaps it will be 4.5k synths if it's 51-60 then 6k synths. 4..5k synths would be about 70 hasty hand synths an hour 64 hrs, 2.6 days and 6k would be 85.7hrs 3.5 days, while it might look shorter DOH requires gil input as well as the mats needed for 4.5/6k since which would basically be 45.5 stacks of logs or 60.6 stacks of logs lol which is a lot. If they were maybe 2.5k each that would equate to 11.25/15mil gil worth of logs, and that's the cheapest route other crafts might not be as lucky.

Of course with changes to DOL/DOH the objectives may change completely but as it stands now the above is most likely the task that would be required to obtain the upgraded luminary if they do indeed make them upgradeable.

They already are worthless, for the most part.

Relic stage 1 will be easier, but the stage 2 requirements will be just as difficult.

Way I see it is that each time you upgrade you will have to jump through hoops designed for the level of the item.

And of course a lvl 60 crafted weapon is going to be better than a lvl 50 relic, so its not like you can just get the stage 1 relic and it scale up automatically.

As for Luminary, I expect you have to hand in the old Luminary when you get the new one. (ie talk to the achievement NPC etc)

They should increase the stats on them considering how much time it takes to get them.

My guess is that they will add a new level of achievements you need to fulfill and then you can trade them in for upgraded version.

It will be the same with the Crowns and all other Achievement items.

I recon you'll see more classes to level rather than a cap rise anytime soon, but good question i would also like to know how they will handle this in the long run.

Actually, it doesn't take that long to get, maaybe only DoL ones. DoH ones are made in a way a player who JUST started crafting will get it in a decent amount of time. It only took people who were already level 50 a long time because they had to grind for it.

level cap raise = new gathering spots and crafter recipes = new achievements = new achievements reward

Say, to obtain the luminary tool 2, you need first all achievements for luminary tool 1 and then all the new achievements (something like 6000 syntheses with level 51-60 recipes)

Or they might just leave it as a status symbol that you finished that achievment and continue to release new and better tools.
