I really miss the /smile emote

As the title says, it seems simple, but it's one I used all the time in XI. Wishing they would bring this emote back.

I agree. It also feels weird not having /slap >.> or /hug

It didn't have any animation in FFXI either, which sucks.

But yes, bring back /smile AND MAKE AN ANIMATION FOR IT TOO!

Smiling and slapping didn't have animations either.

/smile, /slap ... all these need to be in the game. (/slap should have a knock back effect) :P

The more emotes the better really. I'd expect a lot of the ones you guys are asking to be in 2.0.

Aww, I agree. I'd like to be able to /smile at people.
I mean I'm probably too shy to do it much, but I'd really enjoy having the option. :)

Mean time, you can do a lengthy emote and pull your weapon out when your character begins moving.

I'd also like to see an emote like /attention where depending on your equiped weapon you'd stand at attention with it..

A lancer could snap the spear butt to the ground and stand stait like a gate guard.

A Gladiator could throw the back of his sword to their shoulder like a US Marine

A MRD could throw his axe over his shoulder and yawn with disinterest.

A THM could pull out a spell book and slump a little as they read through it

things like that ^^

some of the emotes are just plain hilarious and exagerated like the /laugh for elezen. I think that should be down to a /chuckle.

Maybe do a /surprise motion
(EDIT: Actually, not surprise, was thinking of the wrong one, but yeah. There are plenty of emotes that give off a smile.)

I made a Hug macro with the Elezen Male /welcome motion

Someone should make a emote thread where we can all state the emotes we'd like to see added to the game. the op can then add up the number of time each thing is voted for in the posts, since we dont have polls in the offical forums and edit the op.

That isn't translated into other languages though, so it kind of defeats the purpose.

/smile seems to be working fine here.

/slap, the best emote ever created, right after /snowball.

if we're getting slap can we get /backhand?

btw this is said in a joking matter though that would kinda be funny with a backhand swing animation

I would /backhand every male miqote i come across :) just because

lol it would be fun and funny

I miss a /hug emote like the one in Dark Age of Camelot, maybe Yoshi remember it, he may think as well we need one :D
