As title suggests, a buff that lasts one week (for example) if the linkshell acomplishes certain tasks like killing NM's, or a certain amount of people together at a certain time for another.

No thank you.
It'd be cool for a little buff. Like how much gil you can earn from completing a quest together as a LS.
As far as exp and stats, people wouldn't do random stuff together unless it was minor.
Eh sure yeah i guess why not.
Neat idea, but I would save it for the Free Companies.
Do we really need more buffs? We already have the full/light party buff which is more than enough.
2.0 - LS-Primalbuff {You can have this}
I think you may have mis-attributed where the anger is...I'm not saying guild content is bad or anything. But the problem she's getting at is that people don't do anything outside of their linkshells or give anyone outside their LS a chance.
I mean even in crowded areas i've never seen more than probably 30 lines of conversation the entire time i've played.
This game doesn't exactly give us any social tools outside of having a million linkshells that you have to manually switch to talk on. Not gonna mention what they could do to fix that since this thread will just explode into a discussion about that instead.
This sounds like a Free-Company gil sink kind of deal. Like a buff that adds 10% experience or a buff increases seal income from the Free-Company's Grand Company of Allegiance.
I could get behind a free company perk system.
Honestly though the thing I would want more is really nifty upgrades to free company halls that accomplish the same thing.
ie:
Buy/construct a crafting wing where all the guild level synth supports can be obtained. for the standard nominal fee.
obtain an aether node or crystal that allows for direct teleportation to the hall from any where in the game world.
A Teleportation whatsitsmadoodle that shaves a point off of all teleportation costs for members. Upgradeable to allow for the slight reduction in the gear damage penalty to a home point after being ko'ed.
A practice room with dummy's for the practice of combos. And or real live fake monsters that can used to learn attack patterns and formulate or refine strategy's. Upgradeable with a Sparring mat to practice pvp and to settle disagreements the gentleman's way.. With bloody combat.
The idea of going into a company hall to be greeted with the sight of trophy's of slain monsters or armor and displays set up for/by members. Then seeing people working away with crafting or working on the mechanics of there combat skills makes me smile a bit.
Nah. TBH if anything they should be giving a buff bonus to parties that have two or less people who are in the same shell, to help encourage non-linkshell parties and give them a bit of an edge since performance with a PuG is likely to be much lower than a party from a players personal linkshell.
I like the ideas Griss :o
Sadly SE will just say it would cost to much to do.
They need to just let you walk into the zone where your guild hall would be, and it opens Minecraft where you can build.
Not always. If I can decipher what a jp /sh is going for I try to get in while explaining I am an english speaker. 9 times out of 10 I get <english> <no thanks>
It's like that in xi too for the most part. We have a tendency to self segregate on all sides, it's just easiest to blame na players for xenophobia cause so many are so incredibly pc other na players will bombard us with a rain of hateful msgs if we even hint at a preference for english only pts cause we are then seen as racists. Yet if others prefer pts with just others from their own countries or languages its just cause of their culture and we should be fine with it. Makes no sense to me.
im for it it gets the ls a reason to do events and things my ls iv been try to get them to do events and they dont and when other ask not much help
i think this be a cool idea!
Some kind of perk for a guild killing something? What, like the guild who kills a primal in 2.0 being able to summon it?
no thank you, why? because we don't need segregation, it's already bad as it is.
Definitely a lot of neat suggestions for buffs!
I tried to get some info out of the battle team and they mentioned that party bonuses will be revised in 2.0, but as to what will be included in this I cannot yet say! We will be sure to update you with this information as version 2.0 draws closer :)
Ooooo hope they saw my thread about job/class aura's ;)

I think this is a great idea. There are plenty of people that do shout parties which, more often than not, only have one or two people in the same ls. This would encourage linkshells to be a tighter knit community which I imagine they were intended to be.
True though a LS buff would be harder to make since they want LS to be more of a social gathering, if they made LS buffs people would just invite one another to a dummy LS to gain buffs from being in a party together.
The most likely answer which is why they can't say yet is "Free Company" Buffs gained through how much xp a free company has earned as a whole or perhaps task they have completed to increase their Free Company level which can be used to unlock and use new party buffs when in a party with people from the same Free company
Is it because nobody wants to play with you?
On topic: Linkshell achievements might be a nice way to go. Kill a certain NM for your Grand Company and all members receive a weeklong buff. Like beating a fire NM, you get a fire resistance and increased fire magic potency for a week.
A buff that lets shell holders remove inactive members without having to break the entire shell. A buff that lets players switch from one linkshell to the other or type into another linkshell using text commands instead of a clunky menu.
You can also set a keyboard assignment for each linkshell.
no thanks!!!
