The stand-out for me is getting Durante's hairstyle!
And there's some gameplay and stuff too, I guess. The Fall Guys obstacle course looks fun.
The new glamour is underwhelming. Don't we already have those shoes? Far too many similar ones, anyway.
It is a good patch for me. New glams, new hairstyles (that viera can wear) and new variant dungeon. Also I recently got somewhat into PVP and the new arena looks fun.
I agree with the shoes being boring and also the tiny hat that vieras can't wear is a bit.....meh. But all in all it looks like a cozy patch.
"Stranger from Paradise"
LOL
Kind of a shame it's not a permanent addition to Gold Saucer, but maybe licensing issues prevent that?
I wonder who is responsible for the glamor items?
Since Endwalker everything is 0815, all pants look the same, every style looks the same, just a slightly different texture on it.
The shoes are almost always made for men. Likewise the pants. There is nothing about it that is even slightly feminine.
All the items look like they come from a department store catalog, far too real and usually don't fit into the game.
Can we get some glamor back that fits the game, please. I want to play Final Fantasy and not Second Live in ugly.
It's semi-permanent, it's set to reopen during special periods. So think of it's like Gate interveil but with a much MUCH longer wait time in between. xD
Might even be closer to how Moogle tomestones work in terms of when it reopens, like perhaps every couple months? They haven't specified a timeframe yet.
So the solution to criterion savage rewards is... +5 ilvl to your weapon?
is that some kind of sick joke?
Better color markers for PvP. Nice.
I assume the intention is that it works better if lots of people are playing at once -- it's not much fun to have a "last person standing" contest with only one or two people.
If it's seasonal, more people will want to participate during the time where it is available.
I feel like glamour is in a bit of a rut between the insistence on a lot of modern glamours and also that they need to produce one complete set of glamour every time, perhaps combined with thinking "this set should look coherent" is more important than providing something different to previous outfits. The pants and shoes end up far too similar to each other. We'd be better off getting more tops or interesting pieces for building combinations.
I want more fantasy gear and different historical outfits.
That said, we haven't been entirely lacking in feminine outfits. The Salon Server, Shishu ladies' outfit, Yakaku, Martial Artist sets have all had feminine elements or can be used as such. Maybe other sets too, but those come to mind.
Seems to have been a joint agreement between Fall Guys and FFXIV to have each game running their crossover version intermittently. I suspect on our side it will probably be running during the x.x5 patches alongside Moogle tomestones to give players something to do during the content lulls.

The leaf parasol is nice. That's all I've got.
Isn't the new glamour the Peacelover (was it?) set with bell bottoms? ...it's a little uninspired.
I find paint drying more interesting than anything the game has to offer at the minute, I don't know if it's their approach overall to the game since Endwalker that has turned me off everything completely or if it genuinely is more boring than it's ever been.
Okay, I am far from SE's biggest fan at the moment, but you're not exactly being fair here. Dragging in MSQ/ content rewards items that are always unisex, writing off items clearly directed at women because they're mix and match and dismissing other items simply as "ugly" isn't really an honest assessment.
If there are more male-oriented items than usual, it's only because players have been requesting it for a long time and had previously expressed disappointment with how few items there were in contrast to female glams. They were also yelled at for a long time to make glam items accessible to all genders, which they've clearly been trying to make a point of doing this time around.
That said, a lot of the glams have been boring this patch. They've grown way too modern and look very drab in a FF setting.
It's entirely useless for gearing alt jobs. It requires said job to already have a 660 Tomestone weapon, unless this patch has changed it you can only get the weapon upgrade item from P11S. This means you not only already need to have a tomestone weapon on that alt job but also be able to clear savage to a point where you might as well just finish it and get a savage weapon.
Man, they have to bring Misdirection in the Fall Guys event plus you have to waste a minute to leave if you get eliminated.
That will get extra tiresome for me
omg i came so close to getting the Blunderville achievement. xD That last stretch is frick'n hell, but i love it. :)
I don't even understand what to do in that stupid Fall Guys thing.
It's sad to see that they're stretching content so much, it feels like a slog. It's also quite noticeable that they're aware of the content drought for the next months (until expansion).
Been doing the new splendorous tools relic questline and they reduced the amount of tokens you get + increased the amount you need for the next stages. I don't know if this is the correct path, but time will tell.
I’m so confused by the PvP changes. Why the hell did they delay the changes, new area etc for months and this is why?!
Some minor Sage changes that will make absolutely no difference to anything, Ninja got a buff for absolutely no reason (isn’t it already super strong with Seiton Tenchu? Well I guess it’s stronger now lol.) Paladin got some extra sustain, again absolutely no idea why lol. Isn’t Hallowed Ground and Cover enough?
Idk feel like they’re either playing a completely different game than everyone else, or they’re literally just throwing darts at a board to decide who gets what buffs
The new criterion stuff is absolute nonsense lol. Get a glamour weapon that’s worse than your raid weapon except you need a raid weapon to complete it…you can get a Blue Mage weapon…except Blue Mage literally is incapable of undertaking the content. Again, it’s like they’ve thrown darts at a board to decide what the content gets; I guess they forgot to remove the ‘blue Mage weapon’ section lol
I take it back, absolutely nowhere near as fun as I was hoping it would be :D the server jank completely ruins it, the crystal carrying stage is especially awful.
I'm grinding out the rewards I want and then I'm out, thankfully the furniture is tacky as hell so that saves me time.
The Patch today freeze my Computer after 30 minutes I can't even move or log out. It is so extreme, first I thought it is cause I was afk in the Manderville but no, it happend in my Apartment too. Don't know what the heck went wrong but it seems that there are other Players with the same problem.
Lost interest already.
Everything besides the fall guys promo disinterests me.
Not because it's bad, but more so because I'm busy with school rn and mostly going to be focusing on the goals I'm already working on(ShB relics). I will definitely be getting all the fall guys glam and run around wearing it for certain though.
Edit: Why are queue times for this so bad? I've only done 4 rounds now, and it's taken 10 minutes each queue. There's no shortage of people here though(DC traveled aether).
Yeah that was my thinking. I guess the glam is apparently pretty nice. If it were in Criterion instead of the Savage version, then it could be useful because like you said, you have to clear 11s just to get the item to do the first upgrade. But someone doing the Savage version of Criterion probably already has cleared 12s.
Will SE ever give us female haircuts and outfits(that aren't healing) again? Answer no.
It's too bad the mount can't be used while on the ground to cause knockback on unmounted players.
The new haircut is definitely one of the better pieces.
I believe the changes were delayed until after the London Fanfest to not disrupt any perceived balance and strats too soon before their tournament.
If you read the small footnotes for their PvP adjustments every time they shift potencies/change abilities, they usually give short (and often unsatisfying) explanations to why they change what they change. 80% of the time it's: "this job has lower winrates than the others, we feel like this is the problem, so this should help." For the PvP balance team, winrates seem to be king (followed by how satisfied Yoshi-P is with his precious BLM's power) in terms of what jobs are getting buffed or a nerf. They seem absolutely terrified of over-buffing anything all at once, so most of the time their adjustments are usually in baby-steps like these where you're not sure anything was done at all.
The NIN buff is really just giving their ground puddle slightly more damage to actually be worth being used more; the Seiton Tenchu non-less-than-50%-damage "buff" seems almost useless as the whole point of their LB is to eliminate anyone you can catch/drop under 50% without them healing back up quick enough- If the person isn't below 50% to die from it, 12,000 from 10,000 isn't going to make much of a difference. Clearly, thepersonteam in charge of PvP balance doesn't consider them "super strong" as they said their usage and winrates have dropped "across all tiers."
