Ideally I would rather they just removed those across the board (voice your support here if think so too) but the way the devs do things (at a snail's pace...), this is the more likely outcome... though nothing seems to suggest they intend on ever doing this again, either... Every patch I waited, but although we eventually did get Replica versions of High(?) Allagan and LotA gear, their Role restrictions remained...
... but, well, anyway! What immediately come to mind to me are the Skallic and Yorha sets, by virtue of their designs being fairly homogeneous across Roles i.e. none are that much more armoured than others (if they are at all)

Just remove all role restrictions on gear for use with glamour prisms (except job AF gear)
Rather they focus on doing that personally

The Shire gear. Aside from the custodian (fending) and pathfinder (maiming) sets they're all unarmored. They've kinda set the precedent that these sets are common Sharlayan attire so them being everyday wear would make sense; and apparently the art team liked these sets so much they've reused them for gear twice now. Anamnesis Anyder gear and level 82 combat gear.
But also agree in remove the glamour restriction in general. This method is just not sustainable long term, the game will end up with far too much wasted space for stuff that is useless. -

There is no good reason why the Sharlyan ___ sets from The Great Gubal Library are undyable, and role locked. They all share the same coat, gloves, boots, and skirt models minus the hats. There could easily exist a singular unlocked dyable version of this set. Perhaps it could be obtained from a vendor or a sidequest in Old Sharlyan. If this existed, it would free up a lot of glamor chest space for me as someone who enjoys the skirt model

The DoH and DoL sets, like they have in Korea.
These are easily the most wasted effort they go through every expansion because the best set is always an omni set, and there have never been enough glamour plates to actually use them all on every crafter and gatherer. -

The job designations can remain for loot roll purposes, and for the "best gear" feature. But if they really want to die on the hill that those restrictions must remain, then I say EVERYTHING but Artifact gear.Quote:

In some cases the Role gear actually barely makes sense for the Jobs it covers, like RDM and floor-length Casting robes, or DNC/BRD and... whatever is going on with Aiming gear at any given point. Given their lore as assassins and two unique sets both being lightly armoured (if at all), RPR and heavy armour technically makes no sense either, but here we are.

Moonward is indeed based on FFIV's characters, and the fact these "cosplay" sets can range from level 1, All Classes Glams to Alliance Raid to Tomestone gear kind of bothers me lol. It's all over the place...
