Dawntrail should give a Fantasia to all purchases.

Because of the graphics update many of us might want to do changes to things like skin tone.

They did it with HW preorder they may with dawn preorder

This would be a cool thing especially with the graphical update. The only reason I doubt it is because with the graphical update a lot of people might want to change and that's a lot of money potentially to cover for all the flops they been releasing

I would hope it wouldn't just be for pre-orders, but all purchases. +1 for sure, your character could look significantly different after the update.

Its the least they can do after all. Considering the amount of money involved if they do wind up doing it, it'd be a bad business move though??

Screw it, hope they do it.

I'd like if they did.

Not sure I'd go that far. I think they should. It makes logical sense, but there's no way of telling if they will or won't. SE isn't known for common sense.

Same. They're making some sweeping changes that could greatly effect characters and I think it's something they would at least consider.

They will put Fantasias in a 10% discount.

They should out if merit for the idea that people may need to adjust their characters.

Did they do so when new character races came out.

Not Since Heavensward.
(But things where different for the login days and a myriad of things.)

That is to say, this has more reason to offer than most.

But I feel they'll likely go the forced character adjustment on all kind of deal.
Which you can use, or just login.

as for a need for Fantasia is not necessary.

The changes are going to affect not only people's main characters but up 8 characters per region. It would be unreasonable to expect people to buy 8 fantasias to fix something they themselves did not break. One free account-wide fantasia would solve this. They could pair it with the pre-order, the expansion itself or the digital collector's edition.

they use to when au ra came out, but nope the community cried and cried and how they cried for them to sell fantasia for almost 3 years and now they will be for sale forever.

But seriously I hope they do.

I'd hope they would, particularly since they're possibly introducing Female Hrothgar.

So that everyone got to enjoy that lala chin upgrade.

This is the first graphics upgrade ever, I do think it's pretty reasonable to give every account 1 fantasia to iron out any issues. For a LARGE number of people their character appearance matters down to tiny details.

I think this is a reasonable request given the graphics updates. While it does seem like the graphics updates won’t drastically change how our characters look, I can imagine it might end up making them look ‘not right’ lol.

So I think the graphics updates would be the perfect opportunity for the devs to drop a Fantasia out of the sky for us. It’d be pretty awful if your character turned out as some Eldritch monstrosity after the update but then devs are like, ‘Oh you’re not happy??? £9.99 to fix what we changed!’

I know they said we shouldn't expect drastic changes to our characters, but who knows how the skin tones and hair colors end up looking. I will be super sad if I lose my hair tones.

Definitely not every expansion, I think it's been the EXP earring + a minion and early access for a while now.

I just hope there are beards at last. 1000 haircuts but close to 0 facial hair customization.

It would be a good idea. A lot of people will likely want to color-correct various aspects of their character.

Would be cool. Would also be a bit uncharacteristic of Square Enix, aka the EA of Japan. Far more in-character of them to "grace us" with a 50% off sale on Fantasias instead. And then cue the defenders of it, saying "stop whining! Your character isn't that different thanks to the changes! You don't need a fantasia! It's just 10 dollars!" etc.
It could obviously swing either way, but if I had to bet money on it I'd bet on the latter scenario lmao

Agreed. One person's unimportant detail is another's major design issue, so the ability to fix anything that comes up without having to pay would be appreciated.

Agreed, I'd like to be able to fix anything if needed from the graphics upgrade.

Put it on the first quest of Dawntrail as a reward would be how I would do it so no pre-order needed and people with multiple characters can fix changes to them via just doing the quest.

Since the graphics update also affects low level characters I think it would be more appropriate to mail it to every character with moogle mail like the previous account wide free fantasias.

That would work too but I do know they have expressed they moved away from making things account wide due to how the mail system works. If possible that would be ideal but if not I think just throwing it on the first quest is fine as well.

I doubt they would give us a fantasia just because of the graphics update. And to be honest I struggle to see the difference before and after from the slides they have shown us.
I do see a chance of getting one if female hrotgar is actually coming with 7.0 . They did give us one with au ra and viera. (or am i wrong here?)

Only Au Ra got one if I recall that came with the collectors edition of HW, not the base version. One has been added retroactively into completing the quest "The Ultimate Weapon" at the end of 2.0. I do see enough difference with Roegadyn and Au Ra limbal rings/scales to justify it.

I'll say it again, probably best if the gave the effect/ability to remake your character like if it was freshly made.(Aka, allows you to adjust their looks before becoming permanent on a new character.)
Except applied to all users/existing Characters.

that way it's no free Fanta for those that don't change anything. but automatic and no issue with mogmail for those that will change their character.

That way, if they feel the need to change within a timelimit they can without repercussions.

While Fanta would allow you to exactly choose when you adjust your character. it still would be an excessive amount sent out. to that many characters.

Will it actually? From what I remember a lot of mods straight up replace the regular character models. It will be interesting to see if any drama comes out of people using mods to get old character models back on 7.0's release.

A preorder bonus would be nice. Would actually give me a reason to preorder.
