Oh, the one in the right looks perfect to me.
Having the option would definitely be the best for everyone, but I wonder if people that like the update as it was presented would be opposed to the one in the right? I think the new eyes do look better, it's just the lack of glow that bothers people. And people that dislike the current glow just dislike it for how too bright and unnatural they look.
Wouldn't adding the glow to the updated eyes so they look more natural but still glowy, just like in that picture, also be a good enough solution for everyone?
Give both...
Personally, I hate that the glow is like an LED light, but each to their own, so I'll happily advocate for this for those that want it... Takes nothing away from me after all if they can do both.
Yes!! Give both, I want the glow on the eyes, my main uses black on her rings so they don't glow but my alts use the glow and this will ruin them. The choice of having both is great as people characters will remain how they created them while opening up aura for others to play who don't want to glow, this solution is great.
Really love how it looks on the right, give me the LED's, The GLOW!!!
P.s Devs please careful with pale skin characters, don't make it rosy in color, leave us pale like death! :)
Not playing Au Ra, hard agree.
I love this solution! My chara also has very bright rings that I want to stay. Please at least give us the option to keep them
This is a great solution and I feel this would make everyone involved happy. I don't want to see the glow to disappear but I also don't want others who like the new version lose out either.
Pretty much what Everyone in the other Threads, and Specially in the Roegadyn Eye Thread want for Au Ra, and their own eyes.
Yet oddly enough, a number of Users seem to intentionally want to go against a harmless option ask. We can all have our cake and eat it too.
Though for some, it would show as Limbal, Glow, Metallic. with the default as off. Since there are users who always had it off, but still understand the want for glow.
At least with this, they can say less.
Though the court now is on The Roes End.
I don't even like limbal rings but I support this wholeheartedly.
Thank you, this is exactly the option we need so everyone is happy. Heck, provide luminosity sliders or something as well! I just want to keep my bright pink eyes thanks to the limbal ring!
Options is always better.
Removing something that's been a part of my characters for 8 years would be down right mean.
I agree with this as well. I want there to at least be a glow, but I also have a character whose limbal eyes just convert her natural eyes to big, bright pink eyes which look great for her in cutscenes and certain scenarios. Its a tough situation in this regard cause I don't know how bright the glow of the new rings will be. It puts the look for my character in question which goes against the effort to do this update without people losing the essences of their character's design.
I love this solution, please let those of us who like the glow keep it!
This would have been great! Now even some Au'ra players tell me that the new glow is too much. xD
I dislike it when my chars look like they have LEDs in their eyes.
I was sad that they made it glow that much again. I liked their first new option more.

I'm not an au ra but i 100% support having the option. It should be a pretty easy thing to implement too as it's just an alpha setting on one of the texture maps afaik. It should be if it isn't.
Anyway, i like both. Sometimes a "normal" look is good, but a glowy one is also quite cool and attractive. It would look especially striking at night. Bonus points if they can make it reflective instead of glowing, but i don't think the engine actually supports environmental speculars.
In an ideal world I'd also want an intensity slider, I want to be able to see my rings in pitch black darkness, damn it...
It's entirely possible to make an Au-Ra without the LED glow look in the new system, either by turning off limbal rings entirely or by making sure the base color and the limbal ring color are in a similar color family. Or making sure the base eye color is the same mid tone as the limbal ring.
The background eyes of au raw now have a gradient in the iris itself (old system didn't have enough detail for that to be possible.)
This is part of the reason they gave everybody a free fantasia.
