will the 2 names configuration prevail?

im wondering if they et us has 1 single name


cos is sometimes complicated to even remember peoples names cos they too complex

Sad thing is even a single name won't prevent people from naming themselves Asxretixoruspaetr

Just reduce the letter limit from 2*15 to 2*6

In that case why not just have 2 letters for names? SO they are THAT much simpler to remember.

I don't know how do you handle rl names...

Two names and the current name length is fine. What I'd rather see is the ability to give people in your friend list nicknames, so that i wouldn't need to type out the last names of people I talk to most of the time.

It's staying thankfully. It's actually nice that SE is trying to do something different from a lot of other MMOs.

A lot of people you talk to pops up in your auto-translate menu, so you can literally tab their name out.

Add two names but make it optional
meaning when i wanna invite someone /pcmd add (first name only) without surname or whatever
makes /tell and /pcmd life easier

I also believe you can tabulate names from your friend list.

The two Name blocks, allow far more freedom for a character to choose a name they like.

take XI for example Almost all the Auto Names have been used, and the only way to get an original name is to x it Ivanxdurandal for instance, is just as long and annoying as Ivan Durandal.

What they could do is have the last name unique, so only your account can have that last name. That way you only have to type /tell Vinland.

That was a bad idea in Swords2 I think it was, a bad idea in TSW, and a bad idea here.

If people want a single & improper name, let 'em have it. As for me, I want a proper name and only my friends should be able to shorten it.
