is something awful
My LS have been averaging about a 50% drop rate with 60k +. Been getting 6-9 seals per hamlet day without a provisioner
You will never get a relic if hamlet seals is the steps you are whining about.
not sure if it's just our own personal luck, but we've only really been having problems with golden bazaar. steady 61-67k runs and about 15-20% seal drop rate
We're not 50% on our runs more closer to 33%...
Still not "awful".
Youre all missing the bigger picture, hamlet gives you time to bond with your linkshell.
As all that is good.. still doesn't excuse the Random luck thing.. for some people its easy and for some people it feels nearly impossible.. it really needs to be one flat %.. because the way I'm hearing from everyone its near 100% at one point and then its 10-20% the next... /shrug
They are called relic in this game, they might obselete next year, but they are still ccalled relic.
Except therr is a choice for flat percentage
Top one provision is 100%, if.you dont want random luck, you can go with 100% droprate. They gave you choice, not SE's fault that you are poor and unable to buy supplies or too lazy to gather yourself.
i just want my purplez, ffxivbros
Next year the Relics will be "Upgraded" As per Yoshi-P said.
- Top 1 Provisoner out of the whole server? Get real
- It's not my Fault the Drop Percentage is all over the place
- Provisoner crap is annoying make it 1 flat percentage even if its 20% everywhere at least some people won't feel like they will never get this done
- You sound like an Elitist with that cocky attitude
And yyou sound like a whiner that doesnt want to work for your sstuff even when the choice is laid out for you.
I guess It's just different for peoples 0.0 Been doing 66k Hamlet all the time for hours and only 1 dropped :D Well, not a problem though, makes me happier when I get them!
better than ifrit weapon drop rates
And you can buy HQ supplies completely bypassing the RNG.
Top 4-20 doesnt give you seal at all and its high percentage for top 3, top 3 is what i am referring to.
My LS has gotten a total of 104 seals so far. Overall we've done around 200 runs (less if you don't count 60k- runs, since we've had a few hiccup runs and from before the 60k chest). Personally, the drop rate isn't that bad. I think after doing that many runs we've been able to calculate the amount of seals we expect per hamlet event. That and most people leave with something by the time we finish.
with provisioner averaging 2, most i think was 5 seals. its shocking & the worse part is you only need them once but people keep hording! & not passing on. (linkshell hamlets so far have been the only fair way to get them but chances you'll get one are slim even then)
My linkshell just reached Ifrit Extreme after finishing 6 relic Faction Leves for 7 people.
17 minute Cutter's Cry and Aurum Vale will be a brick wall for most players but these two hurdles are honestly child's play compared to some of, if not all of, the relic faction leves, which, quite frankly, will be the end of the road for 99% of the people currently wanting a relic weapon on this forum. If you want a skill check, you have it. We've done the DRG, WHM, BLM, WAR, BRD and PLD fights. Some are, at least now, far more challenging and demanding than both the easy darklight dungeons. Even with quad-meld Black Mages and triple meld/Darklight DD's, some we completed with literally only seconds (one time ONE second) to spare. In all honesty, unless something changes or someone discovers and posts strats more efficient than the ones we used to proceed for our first relic wave i'm going to declare the relic quest completely unbeatable for the average Ul'dah loiterer (which is how it should be). And this is to say nothing of Ifrit (Extreme) which, according to what I saw in the handful of trial runs we ran last night, makes Garuda look like a marmot squirrel.
This is the best content and quest line released in this game to date. Very impressed and my hat is off to SE for finally releasing content that will test people.
DeathTaru:
Dem's fightin' words. The interesting thing about gaming is that many players will rise to a higher standard of game play. This is my first FFMMO and my first MMORPG of this kind. If you had seen me say 6 months ago, you probably would have written me off too.
