Wrist macro that works

I saw a thread yesterday that is now closed about not being able to get a wrist macro to work.

I was working on my macros last night and today (for the first time) and with much trial and error have found a way to equip all my necessary slots.

While normal /equip wrist "__" and /equip ear(s) "___" did not work, what ended up working was, ridiculously, this:

/equip L.wrist "Item"

and

/equip L.ear "Item"

(even though there is only one ear slot and one wrist slot)

wrists and ears plural works, instead of singular wrist and ear.

I used /equip wrists "Item name" and it works, just alternatives I guess 0.0

singular or plural wrist(s) or ear(s) did not work at all for me. :/

Did you use Capital letter for Wrists or Ears? coz that doesn't work, needs to be the lower letter case.

Yes, I tried capital and lower, as well as singular and plural (just as I typed in my posts). None of those combinations worked for me. This is also what I gathered this post that I saw yesterday (a now closed thread, or I would have posted in it.)

What you were doing when the issue occurred: Using a Gear Change macro, seems to only happen on any /equip wrist "name" macro i have.

Since I started working on macros last night, I too had the problem. Went searching for macro help and found somewhere the L.ear and L.wrist suggestion, and low and behold, it worked (for me).

I had this same problem with earring macros.

/equip wrists "Raptorskin Wristbands+1"

If that doesn't work for you then your spelling sucks and are probably dyslexic.

It's also worth noting that macros are case-sensitive, so often times specific letters need to be uppercase/lowercase in order for the game to recognize it.

After double and triple checking the spelling of my gear, I changed only the commands and ended up with what worked for me. I don't know why the same commands would not work for everyone, but apparently they do not. I'm not the only once who has posted or commented about this. In fact, my post(s) were in response to others in the same situation. I was just trying to help with what ended up to be my solution.

Sometimes one line of some macro will suddenly stop working for me until I relog. Don't know what triggers it, but I think there's a bug somewhere :\

I had to clear my whole macros once because something bugged and even copy pasting commands my friends said were working for them didn't work for me.

Could have been the name change of the str rings.

could you try getting rid of the L. from your macros since there are now only 1 slot for both of those pieces.

and make sure that you put it in as "wrists", and also the gear needs to be plural too , like leather writsbands.

Not sure you got this to work, but /equip wrists "Xxx Yyyyy" works. Just an fyi - it depends on what it is you're trying to equip too. This will not work for the Dated wrist gears, as those were singular equips before the accessory slot reductions. So if you're doing this with Dated Mythril, etc. you have to manually equip those.
