"Need" on registered items shouldn't be allowed.

Whilst it's already the case for most minions that you can neither need or greed on them if you have it already. I think it would be nice to extend it towards registrable things like orchestration rolls and cards, perhaps disallowing the trade/selling of them until you have registered it already to prevent abuse.

The problem with your suggestion is that, for people like me who don't care that much about minion collecting, if I win the minion I can no longer put it on the marketboard for someone else to get instead nor give it away, all that suggestion really does is enforce usage of it. Minion drops are already rare as is, and there are plenty of people who get absolute fodder loot rolls, me included. At that point why even bother making anything registerable marketable?

You know what I do when I get utter bad luck on an item that can be traded on the MB (like Drippy)? I just buy it when I am fed up. There comes a point where you swim in gils and have nothing to spend them on.

I have a bigger problem with minions that can't be traded and for which there is nothing to do other than run the dungeon over and over with no end in sight (Brina is nowhere to be found in my game, nor is the tiny troll)

Minions - no. Keep those as is. They have market value which means a player can buy them.

Triple Triad cards though, those should be Greed-only once registered. They aren't tradeable and 500-1500 MGP is easy to get by so many other methods that selling these cards for MGP from a non-Need lot roll.

I think the idea of disallowing Need if you have it registered or in any of your inventories is a good idea. That moves the needle closer to "everyone gets at least one", which I think is a good thing, even if it's not a perfect system.

But I don't think there should be anything along the lines of forcing whether people use the minion vs sell it, etc.

I think it's a good idea.. just have the game check.. if you own the minion, having it stored on a retainer or for sell you can't roll need.. only greed..

So those that don't have it have a greater chance of getting it over those that just wanna sell

that sounds very unfair, because everyone in the group put in the same effort into being able to roll on it.

people that have bad luck can simply buy it off the marketboard

If you already have something then you shouldn't be allowed to conveniently have a 2nd land in your lap; so I agree with op.

people who havent gotten item x can solo run their content then, if they dont appreciate the efforts of others

I just had a run where one healer who hit Zero HP often win both 9S cards in my latest Copied Factory run with one my alt characters. It wasn't fair for the other card rollers who stayed alive and adhered to mechanics. The one alliance raid card per inventory should have stayed constant when they were a thing back in Weeping City of Mhach and Dun Scaith. What you proposed is a very good alternative too.

I absolutely agree with you here. These minions should have been sellable on the Marker Board from the start. If the devs were adamant about dungeon minions being sellable on the Market Board, they should make it constant across the board and not putting a few minions a "Market Prohibited" for unnecessary reasons.

Most of what OP has suggested actually puts you at an advantage of you're someone that never 'uses' minions, as now you're potentially in a party and the only one that can need on it is you, because everyone else has already acquired them.

And, I doubt they could even implement something to prevent sale of items you haven't 'acquired' without some huge rework of the game's items, so that doesn't seem likely to happen.

If everyone already has it, they can still use the greed button. A change like this won't suddenly plummet the supply of dungeon minions on the market board.

Cards shouldn't be subject to rolling at all. They should just drop into your inventory in all cases.
