Legacy until September 2012 :)

Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.


To be eligible for the Legacy Campaign you need to have 90 days of continuous subscription before the end of September 2012.

You are about to finish your trial period, and you have chosen to subscribe for 90 days.
Unfortunately 90 days subscription will not be available anymore tomorrow.
You will have to choose 30 days subscription.
However if you then subscribe every month without interruption and reach 90 days of billable subscription before the end of September 2012 you will be a member of the Legacy Campaign.
The Legacy mention will appear on your account once the criteria of 90 days will be met.

This is nothing new.

It is to those that still think they cant get into Legacy.

many people, like me, were unsure if we could still get it as the post was confusing since they cancel the 90days subs and we were not registered as May.

Were you or were you not registered before the end of May? If you were not, then this could be a glimpse of hope for those that registered afterward, assuming that letter wasn't just a copy/paste and they actually looked at your account in detail.

In that case, this just turned into potentially new information.

Update: I then said a mail to tell them I was registered after May, to know if still part of Legacy.

So I guess it's pretty settled that Legacy is not over as long as 90 days have been paid before 2.0
Hope that gives some people hope haha

It would have been nice to know this before the 90 day option was removed. I have Legacy but my friend who did not register the game until mid-June doesn't.

you realise 90=30x3 right?
As long as he pays 3 month before 2.0 he will get it

I realize that, but have been under the understanding that the game had to be registered before May 31. He did not. He started mid-June and is still in his free month.

Hence this topic, I am in the same situation but the 2 mails above confirm it is still possible, I started in June

This whole Legacy thing has been quite confusing. They say you have to register by May 31. Then they suddenly take away the 90 day option by June 30. This almost implied that if you registered for 90-day before it was removed, that you could qualify for legacy. But no, apparently that May 31 register date is still the first requirement. Hysterior, do you have a Legacy confirmation email and Legacy logo on your character screen, or are you hoping to get one after three months have passed? Maybe quite a few people will get a nice surprise in August or Sept. to be suddenly notified that they qualified after all. That would be nice. :)

I think the notification will come in 3 months:

From mail 1

From mail2:

anybody who has first debit going in July should be ok (July/August/September = 90 days payment before end of sept)

But I specifically told them I registered after May 2012 (registered in June) and they replied to it with

and I don't think it is an automated message since there is a spelling mistake haha

I'm not too sure about that "should" on the second email. However, best of luck to you and everyone else on the same boat!

I hope this is true. My 90 days was cancelled because of a billing error and i can't get the 90 day sub again.

Can a FFXIV staff member please confirm this with a post? OP's email could have just been an automated type response.

What do you need confirmed? There's nothing new in these notifications...

The "register-by" dates mentioned in previous lodestone posts are simply them taking the end of September and subtracting the requsite number of days in order to qualify for legacy.

I will have paid for 90 days this Saturday. I really hope its not too late. I started playing before I knew there was a Legacy campaign (April 7). Legacy would be a pretty good bonus for me.

Hope someone can confirm the email and good luck to others in the same situation.

That would've made a "register by" date of June 30th.

okay so basically if you tried to get legacy by registering the game now (July) you won't get it.
thats why they took away the 90 days sub end of june (july-august-september is roughly 90 days), so you don't just wait until early september and then just click 90 days and get legacy.

yes, if you register after the new billing system you cannot get it

So I registered my game and did the free month trial back in february/march. I just resubbed again starting a couple days ago. Now, If I sub for this month (30 days), then for August (30 days) it will ask me to sub for another 30 days at the start of September and not at the end.

Will I still get Legacy? I would have technically paid for 90 days before the end of September, but I am still very confused lol.

sweet, I was a bit curious. I was never even informed from an email about legacy at all untill my friend told me a week ago xD. I kinda lost all attention from FF XIV, I knew about 2.0 but wasn't paying any attention to anything else :P.
