Moogle Tomestones and Rising Events

Looks like a slew of items from the Moogle event (cheap Fat Cat minion) along with Samurai Barding, Fat Cat parasol and Both Ways Hairstyle. The Rising gets a Phoenix mount, poster and Orchestrion Rolls.

No matter which araid I get, I'll get moogle tomes. That's nice. (It'll probably be paradigm's breach for me :) )

No blue mage cheese dungeons this time and the first alliance raids are the lowest of income from tomes.

That'll twist a few knickers, for sure.

Solid rewards IMO

That Phoenix mount is an absolute 10/10 from me.

Oh all those yummy Ivalice, NieR, and MotR AR pops... yes pls... gimme those... and I'll start doing AR regularly again...

The tomes have some good rewards this time around... but my god is that colouration for the phoenix butt ugly.

It's the coloration he has when he first appears in the Bahamut raids, IIRC.

I always look forward to these events since Rival Wings seems to pop often. I have both the monkey mounts but I personally find it more enjoyable than frontline. :D

Pretty good selection of tome items overall - not much to complain about here!

Best part is that I can farm those Ivalice glams as well as getting tomes.

Looking at the list of duties, i wonder if a BLU meta around one of the MSQ-roulette instances is time effective enough. Otherwise theyd need to use... what, an alliance run? Maybe level synced but short manned syrcus? Do you try your luck at wiping city(or risk dun scaith????) for the higher payout? Very curious if the community will find a solution they like.

As for the items, im looking at a 624 tome grind personally so the next 9 days is going to see me trying to earn as many of the ones i want as possible through their normal means. So far ive taken one 50 point item off the list this morning. We'll see how my motivation holds up in the next few days.

The way they lay out the list of duties looks pretty but is so impractical to actually read and process. They need to give a simple text list as well.

That phoenix mount is a must-get. I don't need many moogle rewards on my main so I'll probably focus mostly on my Jenova alts and especially Dynamis alt.

I am a bit concerned with how top-heavy the tome options are. Since I stay on Dynamis with my Dynamis alt, she's only been able to able to get through Void Ark itself (not the other two) and is just at the start of Stormblood so no Ivalice for her yet. I have been busy on main so AR might be a bit improved over there now. I imagine some other lower level players would be in the same boat with rather limited options this time.

Honestly these look like some great rewards, and timed at a point where I have a drive to do more simple combat content. This will give me the extrinsic rewards to really drive me to do it! ^^

Neat, I can finally get the Shoebill without having to farm Amaurot. And a gwyber. Can't remember offhand what else I don't have from the list, I'll check when it goes live.

Well they are going to finish crashing the market for verdant partitions (already very slow) and the fat cat minion...I only need the T-Rex from Eureka which is not tradeable (I hate that zone). Edit: They should stick to non tradeable items (like dogs and gwibers are ok for those who need them)

I mean, it is a reskin. I know that it's from Coils, but that doesn't mean it isn't just a recolor of the Firebird mount.

More like the Firebird mount was a recolor of it. There's a significance to choosing that particular boss from Coils for a 10 year reward.

I will always take any excuse to spam the Ivalice raids.

Perfect time for me to get some glamours out of them.

It has been a tradition of the Moogle Tomestones to crash the market for rare items.

Overall, moogle tomes; old content, turns out to be better long term content than island sanctuary, variant dungeon, and the snorefest raids. They should start every patch with moogle tomes from the beginning.

And the Rising mount looks amazing and is both story significant (second to last Coils fight) and meta significant (ARR rising from the ashes of 1.X and this being the 10th anniversary of it). No idea what those two orchestrations are, but I like collecting those, so definitely happy about those, too.

I'm honestly kind of puzzled why Crystal Tower gives ANY tomestones at all. I can only guess it's because they've decided to not give us the usual sub-50 optional dungeons and they want to make sure lower-level players still have options in the 10th anniversary event..?

And yeah, screw that Blue Mage cheese nonsense. Never should have been allowed.

Like the mount and poster for the new rising event.

However wow they really loaded up the vendor for this round of moogle treasure trove lol.
