Speak for yourself, it was fun.
The best thing with those events is the "skip cutscene" button
It's ok to have low standards, dont worry we know
I do have to say though, smol miqos are adorable in the "interactive cutscene"
Tbh after re-thinking a bit, the interactive cutscene was kinda fun, but yeah its still not enough sadly.
I've never cared much for these personally so correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the norm for Moonfire events? I was under the impression that it's almost always been a jumping puzzle with nothing at the top except bragging rights, alongside a short story with a summer themed outfit at the end. Granted, there was that one abysmal year with the polar bear mount where we received no tower and no outfit, but that was an exception and not the rule, and people were pissed that the usual structure was missing. I wouldn't call the event lame for just doing what people who like it all expected and wanted to see. It just sounds like it's not for you. And that's fine. It's not for me either. More and more often I'm coming to terms with the fact that things I consider kind of boring and half assed in FF14 are actually things that most of this community gobbles up and sincerely enjoys.
On a purely cosmetic level, as someone who doesn't watch Sentai stuff at all, I found the costume to be disappointing. I already avoid full helmets on my character because the horns jut out and look misplaced. This helmet is no exception. The body suit as well, hides the tail for some reason and operates as a 1-piece, meaning mixing and matching is impossible. Mixing pieces from this set could've made the event worthwhile for players who aren't Sentai fans as well, but nope. If you simply don't care for that genre, then this event might leave you cold. Or at least, that was my experience, idk. I will say though, Viera are eating good for once. A helmet they can actually wear, that accounts for their ears. Very cool for them, and definitely a long time coming. It's great if you're a viera who's also into Sentai stuff. If you don't fall into that Venn diagram though, then you might not be very enthusiastic about this.
idk, I'm kinda waiting for the inevitable "what do you mean no swimsuit this year????" threads we'll get once people begin waking up and logging in and realizing the reward is a suit referencing a genre they probably haven't even thought about in over 20 years lol. I really wish the devs had taken the time to make it multiple parts. the gloves could've accomplished something nice on their own, but the suit as a whole is such a niche thing that it'll only see the light of day (for me at least) in memey cosplay runs or something.
They went away because FFXIV's instance servers are the run by the equivalent of a hamster running on a wheel while they're burning in the background (/s).
We've had multiple instances of the game crashing, people not being able to access instance servers (Raubahn EX) because too many people are using them at once.
Same reason dots for almost every job went away. Too much for the game to "handle". Almost every single decision is made because of the technical debt of the base 1.0 code that they built the 2.0 code on top of.
Any time you have to ask: Why can't we have this common feature other MMO's have (doesn't have to even be a moddern MMO)? Technical debt.

Out of all the Moonfire Faires so far, I have to say that this one is definitely the most recent.
i like the new outfit i just wish it didnt have those annoying buttflaps, why does every outfit in this game need buttflaps
You don't even play any of the content anyway. Just stuck being a housing Andy and defending its terrible system from anyone who dares criticize it.
Oh yeah also how dare I call out Eureka a grindy nonsense rather than being more substantial and fun. I'm sure I hurting the feelings of the Pagos/Pyros bots.
OK I derailed there, I have yet to do the event because of work but thats dissapointing to hear that the quest itself doesn't amount to much.
Glam and gpose area still looks cool but seriously wish they'd give you at least a playable FATE or have more meat into the questline.
Fight fight fight!
Kiss kiss kiss!
So you think that because they insult people that its ok for you to come into threads angry and insult people you disagree with. If the things you disagree with makes you so angry to the point of insulting others maybe its time to take a break from the forums. I think them insulting others also makes them horrible but so far i haven't been insulted by them as i have from you when i never done anything to you to warrant being insulted in previous threads. All i did was mention wanting grinds and mention features ff14 could bring from ff11 only to be attacked and treated as a troll by you.
Isn't this the status quo though? I can't think of a re-occuring event that doesn't feel like the bare minimum copy-paste job that ultiametly only exists to add more future content for the mogstation in a year.
I mean, did you expect anything else? Like not to bash the event (Not played it yet) but this has been the games MO since... well, ARR as far as I can remember haha. There have been some fun and really nice little quests over the years, but it would be great if they did more with them.
um 100% no lol, seasonal events used to have mini dungeons and minigames and what not. now it's just boring cutscenes with ultra cringe characters
i literally dont even remember the npc's name despite doing it just hours ago. it was that forgettable. he wears a mask cos he's shy?? ok??? who cares????
they put in literally negative effort into these events these days, please just give us the reward with mogmail or something
now they even make the interactive cutscene unskippable despite it being utterly pointless
like imagine forcing people to watch wattpad.com/fanfiction.net Girl Pirate x Boy Pirate [1m1f] teenage girl ships, and bringing up old seasonal event npcs that no one even remembers
i swear to god this game is literally turning into teenage fujoshi deviantart/wattpad/fanfiction catering services when it comes to sidequests
