Lupin playable race when?

So we already know we’re getting female Hrothgar in the future. We are now doubled down on cat people with Miqo’te and Hrothgar. When are the doggo people gonna be shown some love? Give us the playable Lupin race. Please?!?

We also know they said no more new races.

Mao thinkings might want to be carefuls. Could attracts Dennis Moore....

They'll either shave their ears and/or snouts like they did to Hroths when it's implemented.

Making new races is incredible resource drain, as much fun as they might be I think they should spend that effort elsewhere.

You can buy the warewolf gear from the mogstation. That is a lupin suit. It was originally a reward from a seasonal event.

I don't have a problem with Hrothgar but I would have 1000000000% preferred Lupin be added. They look awesome.

The problem is that their very unique and unusual head shape would almost certainly mean zero hairstyles or headgear ever, with the possible exception of things like eyepatches.

Now personally that's a price I would gladly pay for a badass beast race but given the rage over the current Hrothgar/Viera limitations I doubt that would ever fly with the community at large.

I know they've said they won't be adding any more player races in the future, but I do hope one day they change their mind and add another beastial or otherwise unusual race. The race selection in this game is its weakest point and could definitely use more variety, IMO.

OMG, more furries. I guess, Hrothgar will be the only furry race. Because it showed how much trouble and effort it creates to do them right. They have ear- and hat-problems, all items need some special adjustments etc.

Like the elephant or frog head. Make it dyeable too.

Race variety is definitely one area where WoW absolutely blows this game out of the water.

WoW Races:
- Werewolves
- Minotaurs
- Zombies
- Dragons
- Pandas
- Foxes
- Goblins
- Horrifying cybernetic abominations
- And the usual assortment of elves, dwarves, etc.

FF14 Races:
- Humans
- Jacked Humans
- Really Jacked Humans
- Short humans
- Humans with pointy ears
- Humans with cat ears
- Humans with rabbit ears
- Humans with horns and eczema
- Lion dudes

Omg man, too true. I also said something like this a while ago in the Hot Takes thread and quite a few people got mad at me. There's nothing special or interesting about the viera, miqote, and the au'ra. They're all humans wearing prosthetics. The only true playable animal race is the Hrothgar.

It's alarming that the FF14 simps tend to be the ones most ignorant of this game's history. Then again that's only natural because if you don't know about the lies and broken promises, along with the insults towards the playerbase, it's easier to simp for them.

They did say after making Male Hrothgar and Female Viera that it would probably be the last one due to the hard work involved in making them and also adjusting new gear for them.

But they quickly broke that by making Male Viera for Endwalker.

You forgot to list Demonic Potato on the FF14 races.

Game needs a new tiny playable race before we start adding more big things. So how about for a compromise we get a Lupin the 3rd collab instead? >.>

They said they weren't going to make any new races. They knew the players wanted Viera and a more beast like race. It's time consuming and takes up resources to create races. They figured for the last introduction of a race they woukd compromise and do one gender for the two races so we woukd have Viera and a beast like race. The community not liking that threw pretty much a temper tantrum like a 5 year old in the middle of a store when told they couldn't get the toy they wanted. I like to think that the devs can make the new races wear hats but it's Yoshi's way of trolling the players.

Been awhile since I was on this thread, but I was quoting the person who said in Heavensward that they would add no new races. NOT when they release Viera/Hrothgar and said that they didn't want more races after that because of the difficulty of going back and working on all the old gear to make it work. So no, I'm not spreading misinformation:

No and frankly Hrothgar should be removed from the game and all Hrothgar characters should be deleted and replaced with the default male Midlander.

I wouldn't mind just having costume glamours for any new races. Have them come in all separate pieces so you can mix and match with the clothing.

Have the masks be animated for good measure. Would be more work than usual, but not nearly as much as an entire new selectable race.

so... we already have a playable rabbit race in game... does that mean it's really just secret code to ask for a duck race just so we can see ppl doing that old bugs and daffy bit of rabbit season, duck season that results in the human shooting the duck repeatedly?

Maybe a Lupin-like face could be worked into the selection if Hrothgar face pickings we have. :O

If we're getting a sea/pirate themed xpac we might wind up with Sahagin. :O!

If they were a "General" Beast Race or "Demons" that had some weird genetics that can make them nearly anything..sure
But this is a Feline Race, so giving them a Canine / Wolf face wouldn't work or just make sense in general.

Plus honestly, I think the Lupin would look better more lean / slim with an athletic body, while the Hrothgar got the bulky muscular Dad Bod

If the Hrothgar have (Not Modded) wearable headgear, then so can the Lupin.
If by SOME miricle they do add more playable beastraces, or even for Hrothgar in the Future, I hope they can bother to make a Version to fit their heads.
