Me in the corner with my hidden mentor crown:

You missed the part where the mentor repeatedly eats it to completely avoidable mechanics prior to ragequitting just before the end of the dungeon despite having contributed absolutely nothing of value.
You also missed the part where I sit there eating popcorn waiting for the raging mentor to die so I can wash my popcorn down with their tears... >.>
I've run into the latter type way more often personally.
It's the insufferable "How dare you waste my time" variant that ticks me off the most, though. They should just party with their friends if they're unwilling to accept even slightly suboptimal gameplay.
Me, content to watch people scrap like animals after not meeting the "requirements" to earn my crown back lol.

Lol true. Some mentors I've encountered are undeniably good. Others? Not so much.
Yep. We had one mentor a little while ago just sit afk after the first two wipes until we vote dismissed him. He was like: "if you guys are gonna play like this then I'll just afk." Didn't even bother to explain the mechanics. Of course we reported the dude too, but we have no idea if the report did anything because SE won't let anybody know the outcome of a report, lol.
0/10 doesn't have lv 50 WHMs only ever using Holy in Meridianum and causing the group to disband on Livia because they stood in more bad than bad DPS could ever dream of.
LBing a pack of mobs is not a bad idea.
I have not seen anyone LB a single mob.
I saw this today, actually. To be fair, I think they meant to clip the whole pack, but they were a physical ranged DPS so their LB went in a straight line and... let's just say the line did not go as planned. :p
Nobody in the group said a word about it. I think we all felt an unspoken agreement to just pretend nothing happened.
Me just content In the cozy middle, enjoying the thawing fresh breeze the fresh mind gives of.
whilst the not hot but veeeeeery bothered mentor thinks the crown grants all the entitlements and frothy. generating a heat enough to keep the world from freezing over.
Words aside, happy to know that these are a rarity, but those that just instant ditch for some reason are still once very 20+? duties.
and it's not like they say sorry, but emergency and leave. no reason, just auto drop.
Owell, can't wait to see the new entitlement when the "Works as Designed: Alliance Raid Edition" patch arrives.
Best wishes to the sprouts that no longer face ditching as much in MSQ Roulette.
Nah, because his whole point was to make it known to the group that he was deliberately wasting our time to spite us for not being able to kill the boss. An egomaniac like that won't hide behind the facade of a bad internet connection. It's like what KageTokage said - that mentality of: "how dare you waste my time." But instead of walking away from it all by just abandoning the duty, they take it a step further by going: "now I will intentionally waste your time out of retaliation." It's a rather cut and dry case of narcissism. Some of these mentors see themselves as the ones responsible for doling out "punishment" to other players who aren't performing well.
