USA players on Ragnarok

Hello, I joined FFXIV a couple of days ago and I'm in love :) If you are a US player on this server please post here I'm trying to get a feel for this population specifically. Either way I'm going to stick it out. If you are in game and want to send me a tell that would be great. I'm Dolos Daga and I'm obviously on the Ragnarok server. Heya Dolos...the US/NA crowd on Rag is pretty good...there are quite a few of us around...I have my own NA shell and am always looking for active players to fill out our ranks...drop in and say hey when you see us...we're a social shell...lots of new players so we are busy lvling and completing quests/missions for all our newer members.

USA players on Ragnarok is such a mystery to me =o

I haven't been playing very long, and I chose this server because it was the default selection when I created my character. However, I've seen several mentions about Ragnarok not being for USA players. I was just curious why this is the case? There is certainly no distinction between servers on the selection screen other than the number of little yellow chocobos, which I thought indicated population. When I played FFXI, I played with people from all over the world. It was one of the things I liked about FFXI.

Just wondering what I'm missing. :)

You can go to which ever server you want theres no reason you cant be NA and not be on ragnarok. The only reason ppl say its not for NA or other ppl is because when SE did the server merge they where trying to balance ppl from all nationalities into each server. However there wasnt enough EU players to spread in each world and be alot of them to where they would have a fun time, so SE made a completely new world, Ragnarok, and it was stated that if your EU and want the best experience possible than go to that server. As you can see though not alot of ppl did that and other ppl of other nationalities went to ragnarok just because they like playing with ppl of other nationalities.

Strangely as it may seem to other players...there is a sizeable amount of NA players on ragnarok...not as much as the EU, but we're here...and gladly welcome more of our brethren to the ranks...as of right now there are 2 NA ls on ragnarok...mine Red Tails stands at 14 members and are always looking for more active players to fill our ranks, we are a social/casual/semi-hardcore but we're here to enjoy and have fun in the game...

I am just returning to FFXIV after a long abscence. I am looking for a casual social LS. I don't have a lot of time to play and do most things solo due to time constraints. I would love an LS where I can chat and have a good time like I did in FFXI. Please shoot me a tell if there is an LS that wouldn't mind having me. in game name is Dts Bard.

USA here, third or fourth time on a new server. Liked the name and wasnt as crowded as others. It was a surprise to see old server names gone lol.

Both of you guys should send a tell to Allistar Knightroad I believe he'll hook you up. I'd like to keep this thread current in case there are other players in NA that are seeking a LS in Ragnarok. Ragnorak is not a EU only server. Hope to see you guys in game and take care.

I'm a "West-Coast" player here, and joined this game only 2 weeks ago not knowing this was a "European Server", and would like to join one of these US LS"s here if possible! It's lonely playing bye my self not knowing anyone. "Cry's in corner"

Hit up Zagron Rehovic or Emberheart Foxmantle for a ls for Azeymas Wings, we're a fun bunch and lot of US players. 10pm est is our time we try to do stuff as a ls most, though many are on through the day doing that anyways.

Started playing in the middle of April.
Looking for a Casual LS with aspirations for endgame.

For the record there are plenty of NA players and NA LS's on Ragnorak. My friends and I came here from FF11 and made a social shell...about 10 people and we are all NA. I have been in parties with people that are all NA with the odd EU or JP player here and there. I originally played up until the tsunami knocked out the servers in Japan and the game wasn't all that great so I never got back. When I returned about 6 weeks ago I chose Ragnorak because of it being a new server and having less chance of a dead population with a lot of inactive accounts. BTW...if anyone wants to join our shell, right now it is social and small as we are all busy leveling up crafts and jobs...send tell in game. I will be more than happy to pearl you. No pressure...just people wanting to have fun doing leves and whatever comes to mind.

I apologize for not visiting the forums sooner...I have slowed down recruiting because I want to get our current members up to speed on the current events and stotylines...but still send me a /tell in game...you never know.

Hi, I'm currently an east coast player looking for a linkshell. I want to start getting to higher content, but would lOve to have some people to play with. Any open LS looking for players. I don't have the greatest time to play due to work but I'm usually on for 2 hours a day.

Howdy from Texas. Our LS has numerous people from the US/Canada and the region.

I've been playing since June. I've been able to do okay on my own, but it's getting brutally obvious that I need to find a group to adventure with to advance. I'm a casual player from the west coast so I've been trying to find an NA link shell that is looking to recruit.

I'm online as much as I can...usually around 5pm est everyday...if anyone needs/looking for a casual LS send me a /tell in game.

Been here on Ragnarok since... maybe 1.19/1.20, I forget what patch I joined in on, back then right after Chocobos came back, I remember they were here before I started. I actually chose Ragnarok most likely for the same as other people: low population. Though this was from experience with XI and the overcrowding of everything there... though I quit that years ago.

Anyways, I actually lead a small LS of 7(unless my cohorts have been recruiting, go us!), called Orchid Nights. I know myself and another are NA-region, 2 from EU/Africa. We don't care where you're from, just keep things civil & helpful.
Personally I'm on mid-afternoon for any sort of event or helping, and just general stuff in the AM because I work 3rd shift.

BTW, we're looking for anyone willing to take Leatherworker to 50 to join up(I don't feel like getting 3 50-crafts before 2.0)... yes a plug for the LS.

I have started and LS named Stark Blast (ref Stephen King) we are a small but growing social LS. We are here to help each other and just generally have fun. We are PST based but have members and soon to be members (PS3 launch) all over the map. Most of us played XI and moved here. By all means apply to Red Tails. We do a lot helping with lower levels and quests. In 1.0 we always had a crafter on hand to make something for people. No one knows where data centers are..or who will end up where. But can't hurt to apply, get to know people and if this data center thing works out you'll have people who have your back from day 1. Worst thing that happens is you have to suffer through Shinoda Mouri's meme posts lol.

Hi everyone! I'm a west coast player as well from Washington state! How is everyone doing? I chose this server because it was the less populated one and also because I was on the Ragnarok server in FFXI! I can speak Japanese and English fluently. My in-game name is Rubin Riki. It would be nice to be in a social LS in here too! I also had no idea about the EU deal but that doesn't bother me at all! It's always nice to meet people from other parts of the world!
