Get rid of the weekly Tome Cap or Increase it

450 Tomes a week is really low... There is 19 classes in the game (Not including blue mage). People like to gear out multiple classes, but with the weekly cap so low. You are limited to 1 piece per week.. or 1 per 2 weeks if saving for chest/legs/weapon The weekly cap needs to be removed or increased so that we can gear other classes out a bit faster or allow us to convert the Causality Tomes at a 5 to 1 ratio that ignores the cap. 19 classes.... its to the point people will just run 5 sets of gear 1 for each genre of class.

They will be unlocked every two major patches

Which then goes to 2000 and that number, frankly, is also too low. Especially for Poetics considering how much stuff gives them and the fact that you need them for basically all old gear and a bunch of relics. I hate having to pre-plan buying relics and stuff just because the cap on Poetics is so damn low and easy to hit very quickly.

if you want to gear out multiple classes immediately that's what crafted gear is for. that is sufficient enough to run everything immediately.

That is why there are alliance raid that gives you gear with same ilevel of the tomestone gear. Assuming you can wait

At the end of Shadowbringers they set the cap to 900, which was a lot better than 450 .

You can just buy materials for relics ahead of time once you've gone through once. You don't need to be actively progressing through a relic to be able to spend your tomes. My latest HW relic grind, I've already basically completed halfway before actually even starting the quest because I just was buying mats for relic steps whenever I got close to cap.

I've already geared my DNC in BiS 660. It's just redundant to have a cap of 450.

Yes they did that at the end of every expansion iirc.

More and more more parties ask for 642+ now, you can't exactly switch roles as you want and jump in.

I'd say either they find a way to improve gearing multiple roles at a time, or remove the possibilty to ask for more ilvl than what the DF requires.

If I could easily go in P11 / P12 practice with my 640 other roles it would improve replayability of the fights so much, and parties would fill so much faster as well cause I gues I'm not the only one who wants to multirole

That's not a dev problem. That's a community problem. Not their concern.

No, the solution is you make your own party with your own requirements if you don't like what's currently available.

That wouldnt actually fix anything though. If someone cares that much about your gear theyll just see what you have and kick you from the group if they think its too low.

I like the idea I saw on these forums of Criterion dungeons giving gear the iLvl of which is 5 behind the current Savage gear. Would actually give people incentive to do Criterion and would be good for gearing alternate jobs.

SE won't just remove the cap without changing something.

How about if they let players opt into "unlimited capped tomestone" that you can only change at the start of a gear tier (X.0 X.2 X.4). You are locked in at the reduced, but unlimited rate for the entire cycle. Instead of earning at the current rate, you earn at a 1/3rd or 1/4th rate. Run content all you want to gear up. But you'll have to work for it.

they will never remove the cap
but I do think the weekly cap should be 500
