Crafting Recipe Oversight?

Ok I have been wondering about something for a long time now, and please if you have information that I am not finding feel free to point me in the right direction.

What I have been wondering about is the material Fleece. Not Karakul Fleece just regular old white Fleece the stuff used to make Woolen yarn.

Every bit of information I find about this material indicates that the recipe used to make it (1 sheepskin) is considered a "dated" recipe. If you look for the recipe on the Lodestone database it does not exist. You are also not able to obtain this item as a drop. So come 2.0 are we not going to be able to make Fleece? Is it only going to be obtainable through Local Weaver Leves? Or perhaps was this an oversight and the recipe is going to still be used and was for some reason removed from the Lodestone.

Again if anyone has any info on this please share or if any of the Community reps could shed some light that would be great.

Yes, fleece is still a dated recipe. Yes, the dated recipe is currently the only way to obtain it. No, there is currently no official word on why.

I've been wondering this for a long time as well.

You are able to receive it as a drop from higher level sheep, which were in the game for a while (There were apparently plenty near Bloodshore). Now, for some reason, they are quite rare. Running around bloodshore for about a week, I saw three. Not entirely sure why they did that.

I will have to look into this because the only thing Higher Level Sheep drop that I'm aware of is Karakul Fleece not regular fleece. Of course those sheep are also black I'm not sure I've seen a higher level white sheep. But regardless if they are rare it still seems like they over looked something.

Simply kill sheep, get sheepskin, use a leatherworker to make sheepskin + 3 water shards into fleece.

Are you having difficulty locating the sheep that drop Sheepskin?

If so, here's the location on the map in La Noscea where it can still be obtained.

No thank you to you and Haru for COMPLETELY missing the point. Are you sure you read the original post?

I know where to find sheep and kill them in mass to get sheepskins and make sheepskins into fleece.

The POINT of the thread though is that turning Sheepskins into fleece is a "dated" recipe. It is not a recipe located on the loadstone which it is my impresstion that only NEW recipes that will remain in the game after 2.0 are located on the lodestone database. So since this recipe does NOT exist on the lodestone synth database what happens to Fleece after 2.0?

Although I would like to just believe that statement I have to question it, as all other new recipes their items already are part of the new recipes data base to make the material OR already drop from mobs. I'm really nhot one ot just make a speculation. Seems odd this item has been as I said in my thread subject... over looked.
