build-character genetics customization option

we have a few half breeds in the story, so i was thinking how a bout instend of future races they give us a "genetic" option slot on character customization for example you can make a human with just a au'ra tail and thats it, if you choice to which can really do alot for the game, and player experience roleplay wise, if they give us a body option for weight,design shaped perhaps even an age slider so u can either look like a very old old old wise man or a young princess and lets say you were half au'ra half kitty then could get an option of no scales with just the au'ra tail and cat ears.

Doing this would honestly be amazing and put character customization to god tier

It would be great, I have always loved 'half' races in fantasy, but they have shot down the idea before due to tech details so I doubt we will get anything like that soon. I think lore-wise those with duel race parents are rare, hence why the only one we really see is Hilda. Hopefully they find a way around it one day, but I am not holding my breath.

First they need to give us female Hrothgar, and fix this whole Viera and Hrothgar can't wear hats, to include all of the hats that have been released since their release. We can't even get unbundled glam items so Viera and Hrothgar players can just not waste their money paying for a piece of glam gear they can't use. Once that is done, then yes these would be great ideas. As another poster said, though, I would not hold my breath. Especially since they had been set on adding no new races after the initial Viera/Hrothgar introduction and only relented with Male Viera and Female Hrothgar due to overwhelming demand.

Until they can fix the pure blood races...mixed breed races shouldn't even be considered.

As far as I know, they stated that they won't add more races in the future.

I would far rather they spend their time on fixing what we have now instead of a "mix and match" option that would likely end up being a "cliptastrophe"

Just let me make a half elf like Hilda and I’d be thrilled! :)

I think halfbreeds would be neat! Elf ears on some of the other races would be cool/cute. Or some horns/scales. Or cat ears and tail on the others. Lots of possibilities that would be great. So +1 to this. Perhaps if this gets some traction they will consider it like they did for other races


Hilda is beautiful, its a shame we dont see more of her.

It was the second place choice from the 1.0 players poll, so they've known it was something people wanted since before ARR.

It's probably why we got Hilda at all. I think she was the result of their tests with the idea, but they ultimately scrapped it. They probably couldn't get muscle-lalas to look right or something.

Mao would rather has third clan for Au Ra thats look likes Au Ra concept arts. Mao thinkings same would also be good for Bunnies and for other races.

Of course player base tastes change, but I find it rather telling that the LEAST wanted thing (mammalian beast race) got the most work (see wolf race in Yanxia as a test, and ultimately the development of the Hrothgar), regarding adding entirely new races. The other new races are really just “people with…”
