Can we have Dragon Quest X's crafting system?

I usually don't make threads like this, but...

Another Square MMO, with a very similar looking crafting system that looks 100x more entertaining than what we currently have. I hope 2.0 takes some major inspiration from DQX in that department!

I honestly think the current craft system is the best system of all the MMOs I've played.

That does look pretty rad...

But I think people might resent the use of the same system in two of their MMO's.

I think it works great for Dragon Quest and it's quirky world and characters, but I just don't think it would fit in FFXIV.

Plus I would suggest we all wait to see how crafting is being changed in 2.0 before saying it should be different.

I believe you only think that due to the cartoony aesthetics of the video. If you took a similar system and adjusted it to a more grounded style, I'm sure it would fit right in.

On an off note, right after that bit of the video, they show off player housing with customization and the ability to invite others players in, and a working mail system. I really hope that indicates Square is back on the ball, despite the two games being by different development groups, and that they take a lot from DQX

SE gets shit for anything they do, honestly. It's not really a new thing.

I'd be cool with a system like this. Looks pretty baller. The current system works fine, honestly, but it lacks something to keep me interested. I can't wait for DQX, because goddamn that game looks great. I dislike most DQ games as well.

Looks so much better than what we have.

Crafting doesn't hae to be dull and repititious and non interactive.

Hopefully they can turn DoL & DoH around.

There was a time when I had hope that each DoH would have a different sort of minigame associated with it's crafting process. That hope has dried up.

That crafting system looks neat, and thank you for showing that video and making me realize that I never want to go near that game.

and i think that crafting system is kinda interesting. i dont craft at all because its way too boring for me

The craft system is going to change in 2.0 with the new feature of craft points (cp). this will work like a mp bar for crafters but that is all i know, the crafting system imo dosnt need changing too bad.
